I wasn't sure if it would be possible but I've made it. 198. So, I've lost 293 pounds so far if I've done the math correctly. Amazing. And strange. Somehow, I thought it would look thinner.

Lu Lu that is awsome....293 tht is wonderful...I remember when I went under 200 it is a great feeling...keep up the great work....the looking thinner will come....you may possibly need to have the excess skin removed ...that is what I am working on now...I fit in a small shirt and a size twelve pants...but once the excess which is betweeen 7 and 15 lbs of excess to go...so that would definately make a difference in how you look....so congratulations and keep up the great work....and feel free to IM or PM me if you like..... Love you my sister Marcher Jannine PS: just remember to keep on

Wow! I was looking at your picture trying to figure out who you are and then it dawned on me to look at your name. Wow.. You look great!! I've known you for 2 years and didn't recognize you! Wow! I know, I keep saying that. Sorry. Wow. I'm such a dork.

LuLu, Congratulations, that is onederful. I know I felt great when I was finally under 200 pounds. It had been 35 years since I was below 200 pounds. I still don't see a skinnier person looking back at the mirror. I guess it is all in my head. I do notice it in pictures though. Thanks for sharing your major accomplishment with us. Life is great, Rick

You know, I was thinking about it and I'm pretty sure that I was over 200 even in middle school! Isn't it strange how mirror images of ourselves can look so different from a picture? They're both reflections of reality but it's easier to distort/misinterpret a mirror's image than a photo for some reason.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! What an accomplishment. I'm so proud of you and all of the hard work you've done! Way to go. That looking thinner part is an issue for me as well. It may take a long time for our heads to catch up with our bodies! Hugs, Stephanie

Thank you Stephanie! I knew that there would be head games associated with this surgery but I honestly didn't think that this would be one of them! I mean, how is it possible to see something that is not there? I wish I could see my old self standing next to my new self to completely evaluate what has changed because the only way that I can tell I'm smaller is by putting on my size 14 clothes.
