St. George is a big city, just about 50,000 people, birthplace of Andy Stokes (Arizona Cardinals), Jay Don Blake, PGA Tour Golf, Nate Hutchinson (BYU Cougars), Nick Hammer (Utah State Aggies). Theres so much to do here, art galleries, theater shows, shopping, sight seeing, hiking tours, etc check it out http://www.sgcity.org/
if we stick around we can take a walk with the Mayor on 1/2/08, he walks twice a month with the community! thats kind of a cool thing (if you like your mayor of course )
what a great place to bring in 2008, they're having a New Years Eve first night with a fireworks celebration at the stroke of midnight!

ouch.. after surfing around on the ST. George site, I found this little blurb about getting healthy..
Why is Be Healthy Dixie Important:
Over half of all Utah adults are overweight or obese.
Only one out of five Utah adults eat five or more fruits and vegetables each day.
Almost 50% of Utah adults get insufficient physical activity.
About 17% of Utah adults report no leisure time physical activity.
In 2006, 22.5% of all elementary students were at an unhealthy weight
More boys were overweight at every Grade.
I***** 16.9% of 3rd Graders were at an unhealthy weight.
In 2006, 21.8% of 3rd Graders were at an unhealthy weight.
This represents a 67% increase.
If the number of elementary school students at an unhealthy weight continues to increase at the current rate, in ten years a total of 30.3% of elementary school students will be at an unhealthy weight.
Maybe we can stay an extra day and show em what our exercise is all about!
