Hi Lulu...
Just very discouraged, distressed, and disturbed as well as feeling very misled by the medical community.
I haven't quit doing the things I'M supposed to do, but my body ceased to play along after 5 months. Everything we read says that most of our weight loss will occur in the first 12 months -- and that it gets much more difficult after that. Well crap -- how much harder than this can it GET? LOL
I don't expect anyone here to understand -- what with all the posts about how great everyone's doing, what small jeans they're wearing, etc....but it's not like that for all of us.
Thin thoughts to us all.........Cheryl
the weight will drop. I bet you are losing inches. with all of your exericse maybe you are not eating enough (yep your body can do some funny things when it thinks that it is starving--happened to me in july I did not lose for about two months).
anyway just wanted to say hello and give you a big hug.
take care
Don't I know it! I still wear size 24 and with the weight loss slowing down to a creep it'll probably take me years just to get down to being plain old overweight. I think that it's just nuts the doctors aren't taking a more aggressive approach to figuring out why your loss has stopped. It's not fair to you! That's what you hired them for was to see you through to the end. How much are you eating now? drinking? protein grams? Every surgeon's program seems to be different and maybe someone else's would benefit you more. How heavy were you to start? And how much have you lost? The more that we know about you, the more we might have an idea of how to help. It sounds like your heart's given up on your struggle but please try to keep the fight alive. You're SO worth it! Hugs, Lauren
