Monday morning roll call, come on in!!
Driving to work this morning, I was thinking... Where the heck is everyone!
Stephanie Smiles, Shari B, Mama of 3, Jeanie, Danni, Soul Sista, Ruth to name a few...
Stop in and give us an update even if you're just "lurking" so we all know everyone's o.k. (regulars post an update too )!
As for me, I got my results for the abdomin CT (checked for kidney stones) everything was fine. No kidney stones, no other problems.
My 9 month check up went well too. My Doctor said I was doing well, blood work came back great and she thinks I'll lose another 20-30 lbs over the next 6 months and then over then next year I'll gain about 10 back (normal with wls patients). Sunday is my weigh day, this past Sunday I was down 1.5 lbs which was exciting! The scale hasn't moved much New Years Day, but I'm close to goal so its expected!
Hows everyone doing?? Give us Marchers an update,
How you're feeling, weight loss, gain, wow moments, BMI, up and downs in life or just a quick hello!
Hi Marchers!
Greetings from London! It's been a crazy month for me and won't calm down until February. I was in Florida and then flew to London. I'll return home on Wednesday and then head to Boston next week.
Everyone is doing so well! What a gorgeous group you are! I'm hanging in there, just tired from all of this traveling. The scale isn't moving and hasn't. I also haven't been able to exercise. I have big plans for the month of February. Exercise and I'm going to make a committment to tracking my food again. I've been eating as I should, but wonder what I can do to make more progress. I still have 60 pounds to lose. Ugh!
I look forward to catching up on everyone's progress when my life calms down again.
Hugs to all!
- Stephanie
Hi, I'm here!
I'm so glad to hear you're good! Kidney stones are horrible.
The scale started bouncing around on me again Oh well, nothing new. It had gotten down from 171, to 166 and this week has bounced back up to 167, 168... Waaaa. That's ok though. I know how much I always flucuate so I'm just waiting. I think -5#'s is going to be it for me this month. (if it gets back down that is).
On a better note, night eating and carbs are back under control! So i'm less stressed! Just have to get consistent with my exercise again.
How's everybody else?
arent carbs awful!! I notice when I eat them late in the day I feel full most of the next day and bloated.. ughhh
my loss has been slow this month too! Its been much slower than most people (I guess they call it a "light weight"). As long as there's a loss I'm happy! Just wish work clothes didnt cost so much! I put a pair of grey pants on this morning and they're too big. I figured I could get a couple more wears out of them with a belt.. I put the belt on, its too big too! so much for clothing as christmas gifts!
what do you normally do at the gym? the weeks I go and stay on schedule I do 2 days of very light weight training, 3 days of cardio and 1 yoga class (gym 3 or 4 days a week).
Hi Stylz,
Sorry I'm so late getting back to you!
You could try getting a tailor to take in your pants. Someone once told me it cost $7--cheaper than new clothes! I'm saving my old suits to do that.
I try to do weights at the gym--but I find them boring so I rarely do, if i'm lucky I do them 1x a week....My plan is to get a trainer soon and buckle down on that. I know it will do the most for me as far as toning.
Normally I do a lot of cardio....elliptical is my fave, the ski/climber thingy, & step classes. I try to go 3-4x a week too, just so hard with my schedule.

Hello fellow Marchers! *wave*
I haven't posted in forever but I pop in now and then to read a bit. It's great to read how well everyone is doing!
My life has be crazy the last few months with 3-4 business trips per month, plus my regular work duties. I never seem to have enough time to get everything done.
I had my gall bladder out on Jan 3rd - starting passing some large stones on 12/26 and then had to wait a week to get surgery scheduled. My weight loss surgeon couldn't fit me into his scheudle (or should I say his PA blew me off and couldn't be bothered to schedule an ultrasound of the gall blader for me) so I went to a general surgeon who took out my father's gall bladder a few years ago. Anyways, I lost 10 pounds in 10 days with the gall bladder thing. Not the best way to lose but I'll take that kind of loss any day!
I'm now 16 lbs from my goal weight - it's hard to believe that less than a year ago I weighed 290 pounds and now I weigh in at 166 pounds! I'm wearing a size 10 pants/skirt (who knew?!?!) and a size large or 14 top (the twins don't want to shrink more). I'm anxious to get the last of the weight off and then have plastic surgery on my arms. The general surgeon who did my gall bladder surgery gave me the name of a plastic surgeon here in Phoenix that he says does amazing work and encouraged me to make an appointment for an initial consultation to get things moving so I have plenty of time to plan, save money, etc. I need to do that soon. Is anyone else looking at plastic surgery yet?
In other exciting news I'm dating a really fantastic guy. I'm having a blast running around doing all kinds of things that I never would have done a year ago. Is anyone else amazed when they look back at how life was before surgery? Maybe I'm just being sappy...
Hope everyone is happy, healthy and getting closer to their goal weight each day.
Peace,
Elizabeth

hi Elizabeth,
glad you checked in and are doing better without your gallbladder! A lady at work had her's taken out around the same time I had bypass surgery and she lost 20 lbs in a month! I had my gallbladder taken out at the same time of surgery in march so when I came back and had lost around 20lbs too they all thought it was ligit that I had only my gallbladder out
I've thought about plastic surgery since before bypass! I've told people whatever needs to be moved, lifted, added, whatever it will be done! My arms had extra skin on them before surgery, now they're worse. stomach, yuck and now my thighs are starting to look pretty gross!
keep us posted on your updates with weight loss and plastics
