I'll go first today! I slept in this morning (church services were cancelled due to the snow). The rest of the day has been spent working on outlines, homework, tests, etc. for a class I am teaching at the local community college. Oh and I made some "Almost Rice Pudding" which is a baked custard dessert to eat this week (high protein, low calorie and yummy!). Breakfast: Kashi Go Lean Hot Cereal Truly Vanilla with 2/3 cup fat free Hood Lunch: 1 cup Darlene's white chicken chili and 1/4 c fat free cheddar cheese 1/2 cup raspberry jello and 2 T fat free cool-whip Snack: 5 strawberries (mmmm) and 1 oz. reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese Dinner: 1 spicy lemon salmon cake, 3 oz. shrimp with 2 T homemade ****tail sauce Snack: 1/2 baked apple and 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese with Splenda and cinnamon Before bed: 8 oz. fat free Hood, steamed with SF syrup. 887 calories, 100 grams of protein I bought the Kashi hot cereal at Walmart last week, but I don't like it as much as the Quaker Weight Control. After adding the milk the Kashi gives me one more gram of protein and one more gram of fiber. I can stomach the Kashi, but don't love it...so I'm going back to Weight Control when the box is empty1 Hope everyone had a relaxing Sunday! Laura

You definitely get to count shoveling snow as exercise! The exercise database at www.sparkpeople.com says you burn approximately 576 calories an hour shoveling snow!

How sweet of your husband! You are so lucky. Maybe you should keep a list of 'mommy appreciation day approved treats' taped to the cupboard door for the next time! I don't eat pancakes very often (they just don't settle in my pouch very well) but I've tried a low carb product from Maple Grove that I really like. Here is a link: http://www.netrition.com/maple_grove_pancake_mix_page.html. They are high in protein and quite tasty. Might be worth it to have a box in the pantry for the next Mommy appreciation day! Congrats on making it to the gym, on a Sunday no less! Laura
