Drinking "normally"...

Yup, I've been able to drink normally for a few months now. It certainly does help me get in my liquid everyday. I tell new post ops all the time to just wait it out. It does get better! - Stephanie

I try to slow myself down, but I have "chugged" my water a couple times. It's just there are sometimes whentaking that nice big drink feels really good!! Shana

I love drinking water and have questioned how fast I drink, but have been told by other post ops they drink fast too so it no longer bothers me that I do! I can drink a 32oz bottle of water in a half hour. I fill up my 32oz nalgene bottle 4 times and get in a gallon of water each day, it really helps with not retaining water!!

OHHH ME TOO!!!!!! Sometimes I do get a bit carried away but I love being able to drink a big glass of cold water. I missed it so much....I also no longer have the fear my pills are going to get stuck...like they did when I 1st got home.

I still fear the pills, cause I had a nasty experience and got a vitamin stuck a few months out--- I was puking vitamin foam ewwwww Im lucky I found vitamins that are teeny tiny I know I can swallow a Tylenol rapid release w/ no issues though.... but after getting a pill stuck, it scares me!

I must not be normal because I can do all of the things that I did before surgery. My stomach is probaby the size of a football again I was so scared the first time taking pills and thought I was going to die that I had my husband dial 9-1 and had his finger ready to press the other 1 if I choked. My dr. sugguested that all the pills I take be capsuls because they desolve so quicky. She first recommended taking the capsuls with warm water. If you drop a capsual in ho****er or warm for 2 mins. it has desolved so think about it you won't choke to death in two minutes so if that got stuck, just drink ho****er. I have not taken anything but capsuls and my emarlds (my vit D) pills look like emralds. Thanks for all of your great post, receipes and advice.
