6 Month Update and Check-In

Hello Everyone!! It's been awhile since I dropped in so I thought I'd better give the update... Me: I'm doing good. I'm now 220 and wear a size 14. I never thought I'd say that again. My new picture was from a few weeks ago when I was 228ish. I feel awesome. My next 5k is on Oct. 7th. My new guy friend is going to run it with me. Speaking of which... Wisconsin has this stupid little waiting period for divorce. It's 120 days! So in the meantime, HE still lives here and continues to remind me of how much he loves his girlfriend and how it just makes him sick that they can't be together right now... Whatever!! My mom is doing okay, I guess. If you remember, she was given 3-6 months to live back in the middle of July. She still doesn't have any symptoms (other than an occassional upset stomach) so I continue to cherish the days I have with her. In the last 6 months, I have truly learned to "Accept the things I can not chage" --- the situation with my mother... "Have the courage to change the things I can"--- my weight.... And the wisdom to know the difference-- It took a while, but it's there now. Okay, I have to get back to my homework. I'll check in after my race on Saturday. MsKeara 334/220/180

MsKeara, Congrats on your success. I hope you're very proud of yourself! Ugh! I can't imagine living with someone who had someone else lined up. You are truly a saint! I'll send some prayers your way for patience in all of those situations. You are amazing! - Stephanie
