OMG Picnic bars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't thought about those for a while... as soon as I read that I had to see where you were from hahaha... I grew up in New Zealand, and boy I used to love Picnic bars... that and Crunchies. I can get Crunchies in the USA now, but don't go anywhere near that place anymore LOL Thanks for the blast from the past hehee

I must add my confessions here. I am struggling with choosing the right foods too. I have found myself wanting more carb stuff, rice, tortillias, etc. I don't want potatotes or pasta. Also I have wanted sweets. But I can't find anything that tastes good. I think mostly I am just not getting my protein in and that is causing me to want other stuff. I am sick of my usual food and so I am not wanting to eat. Then there is the problem of me getting busy and forgetting to eat. Then when I get so hungry that I absolutely have to eat or pass out I don't want meat. Well, I have to run. So I have to cut this short. I guess we are all going through these struggles. It's comforting to know we are not alone. Hugs, Robin

Thank you, everyone, for responding and adding your own confessions. Since posting I have been doing much better at sticking to the rules. I am working away from home this week and have packed my food for each meal--decided not to leave my eating up to my momentary whims or a restuarant menu. I took a nice long walk before leaving home yesterday and plan on exercising today. I even had a kind of cool WOW moment while filling my gas tank yesterday. Two different men were checking me out--and actually smiling!! The one that seemed most interested was even good looking. I did not feel confident enough to speak to him, except to comment on the weather (UGH! not very encourageing for him). But, it is cool to know that I'm getting noticed in a positive way. I hope that adding your confessions helped you to stick to the rules for another day also.

I too share how you are feeling. It seems that I can eat quite a bit more these days and I have trouble with hypoglycemia so I am hungry all the time. The weight is not coming off as fast as it was in the beginning -- I lost five pounds last month. If I was a "normal dieter," that would be a good weight loss, but after WLS, that seems like not enough. Yeah, I m making bad choices, certainly not as bad as I used to, but not choices that would help me with the weight loss. Any way, yesterday I was poking around the OH magazine stuff and I found an excellent article that deals with plateaus, making good choices and specifically about six months + post op issues. I thought of you and this discussion as I read the article. I found it helpful for me, so maybe it might be helpful to you too. Here is the link: http://picadmin.obesityhelp.com/magfiles/pdf/Plateaus.pdf Most certainly, as someone else in this discussion wrote, we are all in this together. Hang in there.

I wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you for posting your confessions. I'm a May 06 RNY'r and freaking out. I'm only 4 months postop and I'm picking up bad habits - fast. I snacked 6x today. I'm grazing again - and I'm out of control. I needed to read somewhere to get my ass back into gear. I started at 272 and I'm at 192 today. I've dropped 80lbs and gone from a 24 to a 12 in 4 months. Why the hell would I sabatoge myself? Thanks again - I needed this post tonight. Megan
