I need to hear that this happens to other Marchers!! I reach a weight (for me it is 208) and I am extremely happy. Then the next day Im up FOUR pounds...after it took forever to get to the 208....Then it takes a week to get back down to the 208....Im there for a few days then back up to 210-212. Why is my body doing this to ME!! Im not changing any eating or exercising to cause this weight change. Im soooo happpy when I see the 208 but it never stays long. Then when I see 212 I get SO DEPRESSED????? Who says Im a scale hoe???? I know alot of you are saying DONT WEIGH EVERYDAY but I do, and I will continue to BUT its killing me. Anyone have this FOUR pound jumping around of weight?? Help ME please

This happens to me daily,.. But I am finally seeing the inches that everyone talked about so while I have a 3-5lbs fluctuation. I know its just not possible If I have changed nothing and I can accept now that I'm a sloooooooooooow loser. But, I am doing what I'm suppose to be doing so don't fret. I am a scale girl to! If I were not I'd be alot heavier its how I gauge what I am doing. I found that when I did not I did not loose I would even reallygain a pound or two. So do what you need to do. Just don't let it get you down!! its only month 6 we still have many to go! Stef

JoAnn, this happens to me ALL the time. It is definitely frustrating. I do weigh myself everyday but the only day that counts is Sunday. So I promise myself I won't freak out when the scale fluctuates that way. I record my weight every Sunday in my spreadsheet and that's how I know I am losing. Granted, it's VERY, VERY slow. But I am losing. Keep your chin up! - Stephanie

Ive told you this happens to me regularly. I am the type that doesnt count that gain tho. I have lost that weight, why am I going to say I need to lose it again? Maybe once Im closer to goal and not losing much anymore. But for now, thats how I look at it. As for this happening to you, dont let the numbers rule your life. Ive told you this before. Im not saying dont weigh every day, cuz I know you will. Look at the ENTIRE spectrum, inches lost, pounds lost and HOW GOOD YOU FEEL! You know exactly what I mean. At 305 lbs, would you have gone on vacation out of the country and had such a great time? NO, you would have been hurting and miserable and not had a great time. Please, my friend, dont be depressed about that fluctuation. If you need to, call me and we can meet somewhere. You are doing WONDERFUL and look GREAT! I love you, friend. Courtney

JoAnn, I am SO GLAD I stopped by the "march" board today. It may be a slight case of "misery loves company" -- but I am going through precisely the same thing you are. I have had several plateaus in my weight loss already. ****ep a weekly graph as well as a monthly one to track the trend) At my recent 6-month checkup, the surgeon's office was very pleased with my progress -- I was down 80 lbs. Of course, I HAD been down almost 85 lbs the week before. July was a tough month also -- only lost 3 lbs that month -- but then went down almost 20 in August. Like you, I feel like I"ve maintained my exercise and eating and am doing "all the right things". I am going to call the surgeon's office Monday and see if they have any advice for getting things going down again. (I figure I should call them now, before I get totally frustrated and more than a little distressed LOL) Sorry I don't have any real advice, but I hope it helps you (as it has me) to know that others are experiencing the same things. Hang in there..........Cheryl in Iowa started 275 - now at 199 - dr's goal for me...under 170
