Anyone know anything about hernia's?

I think I might have a hernia, but I'm not sure and as I've said in previous posts my surgeon relocated to a different state but said he is always available for question's but I thought I would ask you all here before I bother him? I have this lump around my naval area on my left side, it isn't painful but it's uncomfortable because it's where my pant**** and feels kinda wierd with my rib cage! I wasn't sure if it's a hernia or maybe my fat re distributing but it doesn't feel like fat and would fat hurt? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!! Hailey 245/173/141

Hailey, Got one! I go in for surgery in Sept. Mine is at the top of my incision, at my breast bone. It is really big , about the size of my fist. Does it push in and out? (gross I know!) Does it bulge when you cough or sneeze? Is it soft when you pu**** in? If so it sure sounds like one to me. (but I am NOT a dr.) I got mine from exercising. Let me know what the story is. Amy I

I had one two years ago and it felt like what you are describing. It was making me vomit monthly. It was an incarcerated umbilical hernia. It was growing into my intestine. I had surgery and viola....no more pain or vomitting.

Hi Trish!!!!!!!!!!!! Haven't seen or heard from you, figured you must be shopping for new clothes!!! LOL! How are you doing? Me, good, still losing slowly, but I will take it any way it comes. I am down 70lbs in 5 months, hopefully I will be under 200 in the next month! I can't wait. I had to get rid of a bunch of clothes this week, I just kept hanging on to it even though it didn't fit anymore. Sometimes it is just hard to believe you will never be that big again.
