### 08/21 What Did Ya Eat Today?

Hi Guys.... We decided to move our computer this weekend, to our bedroom and well in the process something broke... we can't figure out what is wrong and the monitor won't work, so no access from home My BIL has a computer monitor for us, so hopefully we can get it tonight and get things working again. The weekend was good, I mentioned last week we are making my SIL's baby shower cake... and this weekend we did a practice cause Hubby & I have never actually made a cake before LOL. It turned out awesome.... see pictures here: http://imageevent.com/endkennels/personalphotos/cakes We have one more weekend to practice, and we need it--- I learned a lot from this practice, and our cake has lots of flaws, but not bad for our first ever cake!! Confessions--- I did try a little cake batter, and I had to try some buttercream and fondant to make sure it tasted ok-- made it from scratch... I didnt have much though-- Im not a sweet person. The final cake, will be EVIL... OMG I figured roughly 400-500 calories for a peice... I am SOOO glad I wont be eating any!!!! Our finished practice cake was delivered to a very appreciative pregnant friend... we took photo's and got rid of it! LOL --------------------------------------------- Breakfast: 1/2 a scrambled egg w/ diced steak,. onions, serranos & cheese--- I started eating and got full REALLY fast so only ate about half what i normally do. Snack: 1 Pepper Jack Cheese Stick & Approx 15 Grapes Lunch: Yummy Wrap--- A Small Whole Wheat Wrap, shredded beef, lettuce, pepperjack cheese, cucumber, tomato, mayo & mustard. Snack: 7oz Lite Yogurt Dinner: Unknown right now. Water---- BAD so far... like only 23oz... I'll try get to 53oz before leaving work.

Darlene- that cake is beautiful! What a great job you guys did... B-dannon light and fit 4oz L-Carne Asada 3 oz w/ a lil cheese and green onions S-S/F fruit bar D- I dunno yet- we may be going out tonight roller skating again All Vitiamns in.... Bout to have my protien drink Walked 1 mile on the treadmil today and will be going roller skating tonight... not the greatest skater but I figure if i get around a few times I'm doing good Jeani

Thanks Jeani! I think we did great for 2 novices who have never had a cake decoarting class in their lives haha... Im a forum addict (Stating the obvious? DUH! LOL) so I spent all week learning online and posting questions on a cake decorating forum. I'll post a picture of the final cake too Darlene

Darlene, your cake is gorgeous! I decorated cakes for a bakery for a few years and I must say that I am mucho impressed! I'm sure all of the shower attendees will absolutely love it! It's so pretty. Breakfast: 1 serving of oatmeal (not the instant kind...I had the day off!!!) and one sliced banana Mid-morning Snack: 4 ounce leftover hamburger patty - I'm not sure why I was so hungry this morning. I don't usually eat that much extra food. At least it was protein! Lunch: 4 ounces of deli turkey, 2 wedges of Laughing Cow Light French Onion Cheese and four stone wheat crackers Dinner: 4 ounces of chicken, one spoonful of green beans and two spoonfulls of long grain and wild rice Snack: 1 NSA Fudgsicle Water and Vitamins: Ugh! Need to drink more water and need to finish my vitamins. I do much better when I'm at work! Have a great night all! - Stephanie

the cake looks like something you would buy at a bakery. very very nice. breakfast: protein drink snack:protein drink lunch: 1.5 oz pork chop--broiled with 1/3 cup carrorts and 1/3 cup baked apples snack-1 oz cheese with 3 low fat triscut crackers dinner: 1.5 oz tuna with one kalvi crisp bread cracker and 5 peices of baked apples I might get a small latte because I am only aound 598 calories I have had around 40 oz of pure water and 12 of other decaf fluids. Went swimming for an hour for exercise this afternoon Have a good evening. Hope that you get your computer back up and running. MJ

Darlene, The cake looks awesome, great job! B- one packet instant oatmeal L-2 slices of turkey lunchmeat, 2 wedges laughing cow light french onion cheese, 2 slices of tomato D- 1/2 grilled chicken breast, mixed veggies S- chocolate protein drink mixed with banana and 1 tbsp. peanut butter Water--not enough vitamins--in I have to start a prev pack tomorrow to treat an ulcer that developed just inside my intestine where it connects to the pouch. The Dr. found it in April with a scope. I had another scope a few weeks ago and it's getting smaller, but he wants to treat it aggresively with the meds to help it heal. The prev pack is a mixture of prevacid and antibiotics and it's 8 pills in one day. That ought to be interesting considering some days I have trouble getting in my few vitamins and usual meds. I'm glad I found time to get online tonight and post. I have really missed being active on the board. Hope everyone is doing well! Shari 340/250/140

The cake is beautiful! Too pretty to cut for sure! Tell everyone they can't eat any! LOL Breakfast: 1/4 c. LF cottage cheese with 1/2 of a small tomato Mid morn: 20 gm AchievOne protein coffee drink Lunch: Salad w/ 2 baby corns, 2 black and 2 green olives, some peas, 1 beet slice, 3oz turkey, 1 mushroom slice, red onion, 1 sm. pieces of broccli and regular cesear dressing about 1/2 the packet. Mid aft: Because I know I will be likely missing dinner had a 23 gm protein shake. Dinner: Went to support meeting right after work. They have a veggie tray. So had 2 cucumber slices, 1 green pepper slice, 1 cubes of watermelon and tsp of dip for the veggies. Eve: 30 gm protein shake 3 bottles of water, and all vitamins in, missed my one Actigall tonight.

Darlene, I've have taken the Wilton cake decorating classes, all 4 of them. You did a great job with that cake. If you need an extra pointer try a Wilton book from the library. But that looks fabulous. B: actually Brunch: protein drink and vitamins 2 multi, B-12, biotin and calcium Late snack: less than a handful of peanuts D. Wendy's small chili My water intake sucks right now. Will i ever get the hang of keeping something in my hand!
