### 08/18 What Did Ya Eat Today?
Afternoon
Nothing too thrilling going on over this neck of the woods... just counting down.. a few more hours till the weekend... Hubby is helping his sister & her Hubby move, so leaving me alone overnight... Im playing around making cakes and cleaning Sat morning, then I have a party thing to go to, then at 4pm we are playing Mud football with our church!! Ooohhh yeah!!! There is a farm close by, and they are in the process of irrigating their fields... so they let us come and play in the waist high mud!!! There should be abour 200-300 of us... they are having a mud football competition and a big pot luch BBQ dinner. We didnt go last year, but heard it's so much fun! They have a section for the kids to make a huge muddy mess too LOL

Breakfast: 1/2 scrambled egg with sausage, onion, muchroom & cheese
Snack: 1oz pepper jack cheese stick & 5 apple slices
Lunch: Garlic Chicken penne Pasta stuff... left overs... about 5 peices of penne pasta, and 1.5oz chicken, with tomato, spinach and tons of garlic!
Snack: None-- I have a yogurt, but got too busy and didnt drink, so Im gonna skip snack.
Dinner: Well Im all alone, so maybe i'll treat myself and go get a salad or a wrap from Arby's
Water---- working on 58oz
B: Ham egg & cheese croisandwich from BK with out the croisant and 6 hasbrown bites
S: Protein shake
L: about 1.5 oz chicken something from Lubys it was good, but I didn't realize that it was fried until I took my first bite. But all ended well no bad reactions. 1/4 c. mashed potatos and about 1/8 c green beans
S: nothing
D: Who knows, it's date night so we'll be eating out. But will try and make wise choices
Water : Great day today already finished 72 oz! Whohoo
Have fun in the mud. It sounds like a blast!
Breakfast: 1 package regular oatmeal with one sliced banana
Lunch: 1 white tortillia wrap with 3 ounces of ham, 2 slices cheddar cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers and dijon mustard
Also tried Arizona Tea - diet iced ginseng tea...it was yummy!
Snack: 1 ounce of roasted almonds
Dinner: 1 South Beach Diet pepperoni pizza with 4 extra slices of turkey pepperoni
Snack: 1 NSA fudgsicle
Vitamins: all in
Water: 50 ounces in so far and working on another 20 before bed

breakfast-protein drink---yummy (not)
snack-forgot again--I ad a job interview so I did not eat one
lunch-my mom took me to Ruby Tuesday's. I got the broccoli cheese soup---only think that appealed to me. only ate 3 teaspoons full--too much salt and tasted like onions (my mom said I was crazy because it didn't). I eneded up eating about an oz. of ham and 3 grapes from my mom's salad
snack--decaf skim latte with protein
dinner-1.5 oz of pork with 1/3 cup of greens
I might have a snack tonight of s/f butterscotch pudding
Breakfast: 1/4 c LF cottage cheese with 2 grape tomatoes
Mid morn: AchievOne 20 gm protein drink
Lunch: 4 oz of chili
Mid afternoon: 1/2 serving of my whey protein shake 11.5 grams.
Dinner: met some friends after work, then went to dinner. I had from an appetizer plate, about 2 oz of eggplant something or other, 1/2 of a stuffed hot pepper, the sausage stuffing of a mushroom, a bite of DH's steak and some bites of his sweet potato.
Eve: 30 gram protein shake.
My goal for today was to measure my food. With the exception of dinner because we ended up going out I did measure breakfast and lunch and found out a few interesting things.
Last night I got out my 4 oz serving size container, plan was to measure food, I have been worried I was eating too much. I don't know why this big stall.. So this morning I get out the cottage cheese and measure out 4 oz into the cup. Put it into a bowl and look at it and am like OMG.. I can't eat all that. 4oz = 1/2 c. I have been eyeballing what I've been having cottage cheese wise and was guessing at 1/4 c. I was right. That 4 oz is way too much. So I put half of it back.
Lunchtime. I took my 4 oz measure cup with me to work. We go to the local deli area in the grocery store, I get their chili. It comes in a 1.5 c size. .I scoop out just my 4 oz size and have that for lunch. I look at the amount left in the 1.5 cup size container and say to DH.. wow.. I was worried I was eating too much, I've never eaten that much out of that 1.5 container. So I've been eating less than the 4oz.
I know at dinner I havent been making best choices perhaps with chinese at least once a week, and I use regular dressing on my salads. And I believe more than 4oz at dinner. But it seems my other meals are only 1/2 of what I'm told I can have. So maybe Ive not been doing bad. Maybe Im not eating enough? But I really couldnt eat any more. So I guess I need to quit worrying about it. But just found it interesting that when I measured breakfast and lunch today that i was less than 4oz. Very interesting. I'm going to keep doing this so that I do know what Im having. I think I can too easy be over what we should have and I think measuring is important to keep track.
