I need help with excercise and idea's? what do you do to workout? please anyone?
I have hardly excercised since surgery I went on some walks but all in all it hasn't been consistant. My weightloss has slowed down a bit this month around 8 to 10 lbs and I am doing good with what I eat so I feel I need to get on the excercise band wagon and start feeling the burn, the problem I have is I can't afford a gym membership so the things I have to workout with at home are a treadmill, yoga ball and 2-1lb weights! Suggestion's please I need to start working out good and I quit my walking because I wasn't breaking a sweat and I was going at a fast pace over 2 miles. I don't think I'm ready for jogging yet though! Any help would be great!

Hailey,
Do you have cable? If so.. I know our area has a Fitness channel. Its good for those days when nothing else feels appealing. Do you have access to a community pool, or one in the area you can use? Swimming laps is some of the best excerise you can get... and it feels GREAT!!! I don't really use equipment for anything.. I do water aerobics, walk around theme parks, and work on stretches. I'm going to get the stuff for Yoga and start doing that on the TV for some relaxation.
Good luck to you!!

even if you are not working up a sweat walking is still good for you - how long are you walking?a 60 mins walk is great for you if you can make the time - I can do 4 miles in a fast hour and it is a decent work out - if you were doing 2 aim for 2.5 or 3 and push as hard and as fast as you can
get on your treadmill and up the time by one min everyother day and the intensity on the alterant days both just by one or two mins and by one level for one min at the time till you have uped the time and intinsity by a LOT.
check out the work out shows that are on the time you like to work out by taking the remote to the treadmill one day see which if any you like
borrow work out tapes/dvds from friends, support group or the local libary - that way what cash you do output will be on ones you really will do
do you have a bike? coudl you get one for cheap or free off of freecycle or some place like that?
I alternate biking, walking, eleiptical and curves for cardio plus try to do yoga, pillates, or yoga ball work outs for flexablity plus do water arobics 3 nights most weeks
keep up trying you will make it - you are making great progress already
