I SUPER tired!!
Where do you get your sublingual? Are they prescription only or can I get them over the counter? I have been feeling really tired lately, but just attributing it to work b/c I work 2 jobs plus have 3 small children I try to keep up with. I will have the doctor check my b12 at my 6 month check up, but was curious if I could get some b12 otc before then.
I take my vitamins twice a day.
Morning:
1 multi-vitamin
B-12 (1000mcg sublingual)
1 magnesium
1 Biotin 1000 mcg
1 Zinc 50mg
1 Citracal Calcium chew
Coromega
Mid morning with my 30 gm protein shake I take my iron
Dinner time:
1 multi-vitamin
B-12 (1000 mcg sublingual)
Eve: With 30 gm protein shake I add one packet of powdered calcium and chew on Citracal Calcium Chew.
This past week is the first time in 5 months that I've felt a little low on energy, more tired. I had my Aunt flo here last week so blaming it on that. Will see how it goes if the feeling continues. The past day or two has been better. Just keeping and eye to see if it was that or maybe my iron levels are getting low.
I would really look into your water in take if it is where it should be I'd call your doctor because not only can your b-12 be low but your iron as well...so you might want to have your labs done to see where they are...because it won't do you any good to up your b-12 if it is your iron that is low. Also other things can cause you to feel sleepy, so I would give your doc a call just to be safe.

Hi Heather. My vitamin regimen is as follows:
5:30 a.m. - 600 mg of Calcium Citrate plus D (Citrical)
9:00 a.m. - 500 mcg of B12, 1 Ferro Sequels (60 mgs of Iron), 1 chewable 500 mg of Vitamin C (to help the iron absorb), 1 Multivitamin (Centrum Women's formula generic version)
9:00 p.m. - (or bedtime) 600 mg of Calcium Citrate plus D (Citrical)
My nutritionist indicated at my last appointment that fatigue is not likely to be caused by B12 deficiency this soon. She said it can take up to a year for that particular deficiency to show up. Iron, on the other hand, could be the cause. Have you had your labs done? They might be able to shed some light on your fatigue.
I hope it disappears soon and your energy returns!

Hi Heather.
I have to take 2 complete vitamins a day, not just the one dose recommended on the bottle. I also take the B-12 sublingual. It's so easy to take and when I miss it I can really tell. I take the Centrum Children's chewable vitamin. It has everything that the adult has only cheaper to buy. And I like the chewable. I don't like to swallow really big pills anymore. (fear of them getting stuck) I am trying to take calcium now too. Sadly the pills I have are true horse pills and I forget to bring my pill cutter to work with me.
I go through days of having energy and then being tired. I know that it will get better and on the days I am tired I try to push myself to go to curves as that always picks me up. Hang in there.
Hugs. Robin
