Hi everyone, How far out were you when you could handle popcorn, say at the movies, not everyday, just an occasion, like at the movies and not to much of it or even buttered, or with all the fancy mombojumbo on it like they have at the movies! Just curious, cus fiance's mom has to pop at least 2 bags of popcorn a night and omg**** smells sooooo good, lol.... Sondra, 315/245/150 70lbs. gone for good!!!!

I've had a couple pieces here and there I think a couple weeks ago I stopped by my aunts house, there was a bowl on the table I had maybe 4 pieces. Sunday my bf bought some at the movies, unbuttered I probably had 10 pieces and felt fine. Just chew it a lot and take your time eating it.

I also tried it for the first time 3 weeks or so ago. I had a lot, I suppose, probably 2 cups worth (in a movie). It tasted a lot saltier than what I had remembered and tend to prefer the microwaveable kind b/c of that. It doesn't make me feel gooky at all.

I've had popcorn a few times and it's been fine each time.I usually eat about a cup full at a time. My surgeon puts no restriction on foods except of course fried and sugar but he says to try everything in moderation so that you can figure out what your body will allow and what it wont. Pre surgery I only used to eat Natural popcorn without butter but my family prefers buttered popcorn so I just buy natural popcorn and after it's popped I spray I cant believe it's not butter spray on theirs and they love it. =)

Hi Sondra! I tried popcorn about 3 weeks ago and boy did I pay for it. I ate about 20 kernels (It was SO yummy!) at about 8:00pm. At about midnight I had terrible pains in lower ab and cramps. Needless to say...I was up for about an hour until it came out on their own...sorry. I am so glad that others are NOT having that problem! I may give it another shot in a few weeks, but that memory is way to fresh for me yet You may want to try it during the day (just in case your tummy doesn't like it) and just try a small handful. Good Luck! Lucy

I have been eating pop corn for about 3 weeks. I air pop it and then spray with butter flavor pam to get the salt and other spices to stick. If I need more protein I shred 1 ounce of 2% sharp cheddar cheese and then melt it in microwave. Belinda
