Do you like bacon?
I just recently discovered Oscar Mayer Ready to Serve bacon. Here are the nutritional facts:
serving size - 3 pieces
calories - 70
fat - 5 g (saturated fat 2 g - no trans fat)
carbs - none
protein 5 gr
If you have 1 slice toasted 35 calorie bread (2 gr protein) and top it with 1 tbls. natural peanut butter ( 3.5 gr protein, 90 calories) and 1 tbls sugar free strawberry preserves (10 calories,) you get a good breakfast and:
protein - 10.5 grams protein
calories - 205
I don't like the way eggs set on "Mr. Pouch" and am constantly looking for something for breakfast that isn't too high calorie and has protein and it is pretty filling if you can eat it all...sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. Of course if you don't want the peanut butter and sugar free preserves, just put the bacon on the toast with a little spray butter (lite)! Barbara
I like taking 1/2 cup ff plain yogurt and adding a scoop of protien powder.
also make cream of wheat up with milk instead of water - the guys like this with berries and bannanas or apples and rasins added in - I eat mine plain with about a teaspoon of real butter in it. you could add your sf jelly or equal or something if that works for you.

ENJOY THE JOURNEY
Mmmmm...bacon! Yum! I haven't tried the Oscar Meyer Ready to Serve stuff, but rest assured it will be on this week's grocery list. One of my favorite summer meals are BLTs. Maybe I'll make them without the bread for myself. I haven't had bacon in a while. Thanks for posting and helping me with my grocery list!
Have a great day Barbara!

I liked bacon beforehand.... but Ive tried it a few time since, and it just doesn't seem to chew down well for me... so I don't like eating it.
I also don't like bread after surgery. I craved some toast & bread, and the couple of times I tried it--- PB on toast etc I ended up taking a few bites, and throwing the toast/bread out. The same with tortillas..... they just do do it for me anymore.
I stick to yogurt & whole grain cereal most of the time for breakfast.
