Off to have blood work done
I had blood work done the first part of May. I was having trouble with hunger and feeling weak and dizzy when I got hungry so the doctor wanted to check to make sure it wasn't anything else. They must have tested me for everythng under the sun becuase they took at least ten vials of blood. But all came back normal. I have my three month check on June 13. I
when I had mine done the 1st time they took 11 vials...I thought I would die...but because I had complications adn went back in the hospital 2 weeks after surgery they wanted to check everything! This time it is just regular labs...not sure how many vials that is but I am sure it will be a lot less.

I had my blood drawn at the end of April. Everything looked good but my B1 was low. They said if it is low again at the next bloodwork, they will give me a B1 shot! NOOOOO!!
My next bloodwork is June 27th, and like Mimi said, I'm worried about what my protein level will be... I've not done well with the "shakes" at all...

My surgeon said they would do blood work every 6 months. I did however go for routine blood work through my PCP this morning. I haven't been in to see her since surgery, I used to be on diabetes and BP meds, but none since surgery!! She sent me scripts to go for the bloodwork and a urine test, so did that this morning will go in and see what those are probably by the end of the week. The routine stuff she normally did is not as extensive as what the surgeon will do, but I'm still curious. Can't wait to see what my A1C panel is. It should be normal. I was never real high, and I've been testing periodically at home after regularly the first few weeks post op and the n umbers have been FANTASTIC! So we shall see!
