OT: I'm Back from Vegas!!!! (long)
Hi Family,
Well, actually we got back around 6:30pm Mst yesterday. Oh boy 6+ hours in a car with 2 kids 911 and 15 boyy and girl) and their mother is no picnic in the park. lol. I drove to Vegas, in and around vegas, including the strip during the day and after midnight, and back without a ticket and safely, Thank GOD!!!! I am still tired.
Ok, we left around 1:30pm Friday and arrived around 8:30pm after all the little stops along the way, kids and their mom, I just wanted to get there. Then, the one who supposed to know how to get there, the mom, made me miss one of my exits, so another 10 miles out of the way. We had to turn around to get back to the right exit to get to Kingman Az. which is practically the border. We got there, then this looooong drive down a long 54 mile stretch to the Hoover Dam which is really the border, lol. We stopped and got a picture of the Nevada state sign. Well it was kinda cool when we topped a hill a little while late and seen the lights of Vegas. It was like BOOM all the sudden there they were. I didn't have my glasses with me so I needed help finding the right exit, Our hotel was beautiful, we opted to stay off the strip, little less stressful and with the kids less scary, lol.
well they got to ride some rollercoasters, play in some arcades, the New York New York has a huge arcade room on the second level for kids. I went to the MGM and got a glass from the Rainforest Cafe, I already had one from Kansas City MO. We seen Studio 54 we rode the Monorail, and Trams, Really didn't see any shows watched the pirate show outside Treasure Island. We were going to go to Excalibur but ran out of time. The Girl (15) Wanted to find a Barnes and Nobles bookstore so I found her one, yes we found one, lol and took her to it so she could get some books in Vegas. We went to the Sahara, now that is a beautiful hotel, went to the Nascar cafe, that's where one of the roller coasters is. We also went to the wax museum, now that's cool. I got my pic taken with Nicolas Cage...YUM, and Hugh Hefner, on a round bed, lol....OH yeah my sis in law and I married George Clooney, lol.... There are a lot of figures in there, I'll post some of the better ones when we get them developed on my profile. we had a lot of fun.
Well, I think I'm gonna lay down or eat or something, I'm exhausted still, lol.... Ta ta for now.

Hey,
You know the sis in law, who by the way had the band done in Dec of 05, all she wanted to do was the buffets, it's a waste of money to pay for a buffet for me, and not a one of them would give a discount for me even though I showed them my card proving that I had had the surgery, would you believe that? I ate a lot of protien, mostly eggs and ham in the morning. with some sausage, and yes I had some bad stuff. but not very much. The bad stuff I'm talking about is like the oil the omelet was made in, I asked the chef to make the omlet very small and he accomodated. I had a lot of fresh fruits. I can't do biscuts and gravy, even though they looked so good. for lunches, I had meats more fresh fruits, I tried some bread, but it didn't like to go down easy so I nixed that thought. I had mashed potatoes and gravy, salads, and I drank a lot of water, always had a bottle with me, even if I had to ask the coctail waitress for one while we were walking through the casinos, lol. Dinner I just had more meats, fruits, I tried to keep it light through the dinner portion. I had a lot of water because of the amount of walking we were doing, I imagine we walked 5-6 miles a day, lol I kept up with everyone though, and in Kingman I fit in a booth in taco bell, where the kids got something to eat, without my stomach touching!!!!
YAY!!!!
