Losing so slooooow!!
Hi Nancy
I feel like I'm losing slowly as well at my 2 month mark I had lost 40 lbs I'm not to my 3rd month yet but now I'm down 48 lbs. Before surgery I ate right and exersised just as much as I do now and I lost 47 lbs in 7 months so in less then 3 months I was able to lose more then I had in 7, so even though I know in my head I'm losing great I still cant seem to feel like I'm doing good enough. I think as women we tend to belittle our achievements and we get into this cycle of beating ourselves up and comparing ourselves to others.
So CONGRADULATIONS on losing 37 lbs in 2 months your doing a great job even if you dont really believe it yet.

Hey Nancy!
Hang in there lady...it will all catch up to you in the end. I think it's great that you are doing your kickboxing - that's more than I do! I walk, but that's pretty much it. Haven't worked the nerve to actually start anything other than that. I guess because walking is free. lol
You are doing fabulous!!!
I am down 48 since surgery, but I was heavier than you to begin with so I guess it comes off faster? Would have been nice to hit 50 by my 2-month mark, but I guess I can't complain too much. I have my little "wow" moments and those keep me going.
Take care, surgery buddy!

Nancy, you are defintely not alone. I've lost 38 pounds. When I saw my PCP physician, I brought this up to her and she said because of the complications I've had she doesn't want me to lose fast at all. She also said everyone loses at different rates and you can't compare yourself with others. The message hit home and I've been okay with the slow weight loss. Hang in there, we can do it.
