hi Barbara, hope things are well!!
here's my answers
1. I've been working Information Technologies for 8 months, before that I was a Campus Police Officer for 6 years, promoted to a Sgt. for 2 years and a LT for another 2 yrs before pulling my back out during a search and seizure (go figure espically since the higher the rank, the less work you usually do , but I pulled it!!). I retired last Sept with 10 years in and now work on Campus in IT and love it!
2. Not married, but been with the same guy for 8 years. Neither one of us have kids, we share a ton of interests including spontaneously picking up and going away to a different city for the weekend, sports (hes a sox fan, I'm a mets fan), shopping, casinos, spas, restaurants (whats changed about that is now he eats his plate and half of mine ). Things are great between us, no need to rush marriage!
3. No kids, maybe one day, again no rush...
4. I'll be 34 in July, people tell me I look 27 so ah...... I'm 27!!
This post is fun to read. Thanks.
1. I'm a 2nd grade teacherin Strongsville, Ohio (suburb of Cleveland). I've taught all grades K-6 and this is my favorite. I love my job and would love it even more if I didn't have to write lesson plans.
2. I met my husband in high school and started dating when I was 15. He went to dental school after college so we waited to get married until he was done. We will be married 18 years in July.
3. We have two boys. Ken - 12, Drew - 8 Yes, I'm one of those crazy moms who drive a mini-van with a soccer ball and baseball magnet on the back. I do love the other families, so it is my social hour during games and practices. Sometimes I recruit the other moms to help grade papers!
4. I'm 42 and looking forward to a healthier year ahead!
Barbara, what a fun post!
1. What is your occupation and what days, hours do you work, how long have you worked?
I work for a college planning donor events. Most of our events are off campus in large cities. They are usually high end events and I've met some amazing alumni/ae. I work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except for during the few days before events and then it can get very busy. I have worked for this college for 2 years. Before that I worked for a non-profit organization in fund raising. I love my job!
2. Are you married and how long?
I've been married for two years in September. My husband and I have been together for 11 years. It took a while for both of us to be ready for marriage at the same time. First I was ready and he wasn't. Then he was ready and I wasn't. Now I'm thrilled that we are married. He's the best!
3. How many children, grandchildren (ages?)?
I have one stepson. He's 24 and I came into his life when he was 12. He lived with us full time and is very much mine at this point. He's a great kid! There are not plans for any other children as my husband is 16 years older than I am. I very much enjoy spoiling my nieces and nephews and then sending them home!
4. Do you dare say how old you are!
I'll be 36 in July. But I think I'd like to start moving backwards! So...umm...I'll be 34 in July. Yeah, that's it!

I am a first grade teacher--also have taught third grade. I work probably 50 hours a week, more hours in 3rd and more tired in 1st!
I have been married 23 years to my high school sweetheart.
I have 3 kids--22, 14, and 10. All planned--I just liked them a little spread out. In fact, wanted a 4th at 35, but I guess I am too old now.
Which leads to my age--41.
What a fun post, Barbara!
Thanks for asking! Since I just started coming to the board, it is nice to know a little about everyone.
I am the Assistant Business Manager at our school district, and I absolutely love my job!
I have been married for 17 years and have three children. The oldest is 17, the youngest is 14 and my middle son was 15 when he moved on to Heaven last year.
I am 37 and I feel like I get younger with every pound!
I'm a little late in replying since I was out of town on business last week. It's really nice to see what everyone does!
1. I work for a small Bio-Pharmaceutical company as the Project Manager of Data Management Services. That means that I am in charge of all of the data for all of our human clinical trials. This includes logging and tracking every single piece of paper that comes in, we data enter everything twice, run computer validation checks on the data, clean the data, etc. On one study alone we have over 34,000 pages of data.
I've been with this company for 3 years (anniversary is on Friday 6/2) and in the pharmaceutical industry, working on human clinical trials on investigational drugs, for 10 years. I love what I do and am always thrilled when a drug that I worked on gets FDA approval and can help people live healthier lives.
2. I'm not married. Unless you count being married to my job!
3. I don't have children but I have 1 furbaby. Missy is a 7.5 year old, 12 pound lhasa and terrier mix.
4. I'm 35 years young.
