QUESTION ABOUT A STALL...
I am 3 weeks post op today and haven't lost a pound in 12 days. I feel really down and kind of hopeless at this point. Last week when I hadn't lost anything in 7 days I posted a msg on the main board and all everyone said was "step away from the scale". But I am hoping that most of you newer post-op's realize how hard it is to not weigh yourself more frequently than once a week. I am pushing the water and have started working out at Curves and nothing has happened. I just want someone else to tell me that this happened to them and then they started dropping again or SOMETHING - this does happen sometimes and there is not something wrong with me. I just need some encouragement and already know I need to not live by the scales...but I just feel so defeated right now and am looking to the OH boarders for some encouragement. Anyone?
I have had great weight loss -except for that horrible 10 day stall between weeks 3 and 4 - so keep up your water, keep up your protien and keep up working out at curves. IT WILL BREAK AND YOU WILL LOSE MORE it is physically impossible to not lose wiegth this close to surgery hon.
have you mesured at all? I went into cuves the day befor my stall broke and begged to be messured before I slit my throat for not losing weight - I was down like 6 inches total - so no thoat sliting needed
I have my origianl day before surgery mesurments and then weekly for the first month (week 1 out sucked b/c I was still swollen from surgery and IVs ) but now each time soemthing goes down at least. I am mesuring less often now
I personllly LOVE my scale - it weights me - it has been a long time since I could wieght on a reg scale so it still excites me to weight each and every morning to step on the scale and not see ERROR but to see an acurate weight
hang in there girl it will get better - have you checked out the April board? it helps so much to have people that are really close to where you are time wise esp at the begining.

Darelen's right, we all had a big stall about your time. It was a huge discussion on the board. So you aren't alone! When it starts moving again it will probably move quickly at first. Also one thing we all found was during our stall we were losing inches. Your body stops losing weight and catches up during stalls.

Yep, you are perfectly normal. And you're right, it's really discouraging when you're just a couple weeks out and trying to get used to all the new rules. Just work on getting in your water, protein, and exercise until your body figures out what just happened to it. In a couple of weeks, you will also be able to eat a bit more. You may be in starvation mode right now because you can't eat enough calories yet.
Hang in there!
