Not sure of that answer But I have also found that it is easier to eat carbs, I guess it breaks down differently.
Maybe a journal will help, because when we see it on paper it kind of starts to make us feel more accountable in making better choices.
I know the frustration of only losing 5lbs in the past two months.
My weight is fluctuating between 144-148, ugh!!!
I have high expectations for my goal too, but we have to be good to ourselves on also always recognize what we have done, not always on what we haven't. It goes back to our old way of thinking at this point, lets grab on to the new to keep our inspiration. because the negative always makes for emotional hunger.
Maybe someone will give us a better answer to why it is so hard to eat sugar and carbs and not the protein.
XOXO

Topic: RE: Feeling Discouraged
Hey Jacinta,
My weight loss has been slowing down too and I do get discouraged too, but we have to do something different maybe more water, more excercise more protein, Also weighing measuring and keeping a journal will probably help. I am only saying this because I believe I need to take some accountability and do some of the above too!
My weight has been fluctuating between 144-148, Also it depends on how often you are weighing yourself, I know I am weighing myself too much. So I think if we lay off the scale and make all the right choices we may not see all the fluctuation.
Well a lot of people can relate, we always have to remember someone always has experienced the same things that we go through.
Keep your head up high!!!

It is normal to bounce around a few pounds. We are not robots. We are human beings that fluctuate with fluids etc . . I weigh myself every day. I notice this on a daily basis. I am rarely the exact same weight. But I know what my 2 pound normal range is. I am trying to maintain a goal weight. 229/125 Good luck Jacinta. AND RELAX A LITTLE!

Steve you look fantastic and if the BMI charts state your obese then so be it... It really depends on how you feel about you. It seems you are very satisified where you're at right now and as long as your health is good also I think you are doing great...Keep up the great work you've come so far in such a short time.
Take care,

Topic: RE: Solution for dry brittle appearing hair????????
Well the spray works, but do you find yourself craving kibble?
I AM SORRY-I just couldn't resist. I am using Nioxin and it is working for me, but the cost is probably going to mean I can't buy it in the future. I would check with a beautician and see if they have any products like that, then go online or to Sally's to buy the item.
Good Luck

Just remember the BMI charts don't take in to account whether the weight is muscle or fat. I remember seeing a site once that listed all these atheletes and their BMI's...like Arnold Swartzen@$#@!% whatever..lol. Anyway it said they were obese! These were professional atheletes with zero body fat.
You look great and feel better...don't worry about the charts.
Take care,

Topic: RE: Struggling
Robbe, I agree with Cher. A lot of Self-talk is now required when making decisions about what we are going to put into our mouths. I'm always saying to myself "It's just food", and making a decision becomes easier. I never want to go back to the old way of life where food was the main focus. Try to divert the negative cravings by occupying yourself with an activity. Best of luck!
