LOL, that is too funny. My pants fell off one time but it was at home with no one but my hubby to see. He thought it was hilarious...We bought a van today. Its not a brand new one but its still nice. Its a 1999 Plymouth Voyager. V6 3.3 liter, whatever that means. 90,000 miles. We got a good deal on it. It has so much more room than my neon...Thats all that matters. It runs good, gets 25 mpg on gas. I like it!

Ange, I like your WOW and 1 embrassing WOW to mine. They're both too cute. I thought elastic held everything up, no matter what. Not my pants which fell around my knee caps when I got out of my van. I quickly learned weight loss meant you-really did loose weight. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sherri,
I think the whole bowel thing is very personal. Some people are wired differently that others in that arena I guess. I usually have daily action but not always!. WHen I had my hernia repaired I went days with out a bowlel movement and that was not fun. I guess the best thing to do is ask your doctor. I am lactose intollerant and I can't do sugar alcohols so if I an a little behind then just pop in a sugar free canday or two and have a glass of milk and voila! all is well again. I hope you find a solution.
maybe mix it up a bit with your food intake. A lot of protein does cause constipation.

I know this is soooooo hard for us
I went in for my 11 months check up and Doctor wants me to lose another 15 pds at least!!!! I weighed in at 148 pds. I also lost 1 and 1/2 inches in height which I was totally shocked......So now I need to get down to 130-133 pds.. I am 52 yrs young and have always weighed over 300 pds, So I told the Dr. that I am happy where I am at BUT I will try to lose at least 10 more pds. Just try to stay busy and eat PROTEIN first.
Best of luck

Me too!!!! Good for you. Feels good doesn't it. Just think how hard it would be to lift 100 pounds. I remember having trouble picking up 50 pounds of fertilizer. We were once carrying around that weight every minute.

i agree, that's a little too infrequent. try fiberchoice chewables, i love them. they taste like the chewy sweettarts, which make them a treat rather than a chore. they're sugar-free.

Sherri,
I think it is a bit abnormal to only have a bowel movement once a week. I thank my lucky stars that my bowel activicties
are better now than before surgery. Have you always had this problem? Are you getting enough water? I think it is pretty safe to take a stool softener (not a laxative). You might want to check with your surgeon.
I know this seems yucky but are your stools a good color? Are they dark or a light color? I'm not sure but you can perhaps take a fiber supplement.
Good Luck,

I don't know about all of you, but I am lucky if I have a bowl movement once a week, is this normal, I honestly only go maybe once a week if that. Should I be eating something different or taking something to help me go?

Wow !!!!! I am so jealous. I wish I could have lost that much and not gone to the gym. I started at Curves in July. It was great to get me going and start toning up. But, I do find that I have since moved beyond Curves. In January I joined Gold's. I must include cardio and weight training now to even keep the scale moving 3 pounds per month.
Give the exercise a try. I'm sure between the liquid protein already mentioned and exercise, you'll jump start the loss again.
