Topic: RE: Suggestions for getting back on track
Hi all,
It's been a while since I was here. I too am struggling with almost a 20lb weight gain since last March. Alot has to do with physical health issues. I had to stop exercising due to sciatica problems and possibly having MS. I was on steroid iv treatment and gained 10 of the 20lbs since October's hospitalization. I am on day 3 of the pouch test and is helping me tremendously. My stomach feels like it did right after surgery. I have to get a handle on this and feel the pouch test is helping. I will start my walking again as soon as the weather gets a bit warmer.
I 'll be back soon!

Hello All Marchers,
Its been three years and I have gained ten pounds in the last two months! Dont like it!
I found the 5 day pouch test so Tomorrow I start it. Trying to read all your posts and get motivated
I find myself not taking any vitamins, no protein and just eating candy throughout the day instead of food..So time to grow up and do what has to be done or go back to my old ways. Sure like reading all the posts and My hope is to come back on here in 10 days and tell you all that I have gone back to what I should of been doing . I want everyone of us to have continued success and its so hard for me not to give in to instant satisfaction. I want what I want and thats what got me in trouble in the first place...So I am at 162 instead of the 150 I should of stayed it...So if anyone believes in prayer...through one in for me! Dawn

Hi Angela
I am looking into Dr. Husted to do my revision from Lap band to Ds. Please let me know how your visit goes and how they treat revision patients like do they make us go thru all the stuff we had to do prior to our first surgies cause good lord we already know all that stuff all too well. I want your honest opinion on how you feel about him and how long will you have to wait to have surgery and insurance info would be nice too.
Good luck Girl

Topic: RE: 3 and 1/2 years out
Godd to hear from you. I went on a cruise in October and ate like a normal person. I did not gain. I am beginning to wonder if all the protein drinks I drink are making me gain. I have always like slide foods. i know I should eat more solid protein, but it is hard for me. I plan to join a a commercal weight loss group and try to do what they tell me to do. I have slacked up on the exercise and the weight gain has gotten a lot worse. i hope the accountability will help. Someone on another board told me to Fight, Girl, Fight. I trying to follow that advise.

That's me and yes, I am in the same boat as you. I've seen others have lost so much and I am stuck, it seems, no matter what I do or how much I exercise. It's seems my body doesn't feel it should go lower. I'm a size 12/14, and yes I am still watching my diet. I guess I should count my blessings since I started out as a 26/28 but I always wanted to be a 10/12 and I am not there yet. On a positive note, I just went on a cruise and I had more wow moments in one week compared to three years, , so I hope I still have a window to work with.

I got the results on Tuesday. It is Gall Bladder. Even though all the pain has been on my left side. I am so glad to know. But my surgeon wants to see me again before scheduling surgery. He wants to be sure there is not something else, too.

I had those same symptoms when I had gallstones and needed my gallbladder out. I hope you get to feeling better!!!

Topic: Upper stomach pain
I am 3 and 1/2 years out from open surgery. I have had pain starting below my left rib and radiating into my back for about a month now. It bothers me whenever I eat and sometimes even when I have not eaten. I had the similar pain last September and this summer briefly. Each episode seems to be worse. It was just uncomfortable at first, but now it doubles me over in pain. I had a gall bladder scan and stomach ultrasound on Wednesday. Too early for results, but I am so afraid it will show no reason for my pain. Anyone had similar experience?
