Karen,
That is great! It's also good to hear that you have such a positive body image. Mine is getting better, but I'm not where you are yet.

Topic: RE: HAS IT BEEN A YEAR????
My hubby and I were talking last night. My year anniversary was this past week and it just seems like only six months ago that I had surgery. The time has flown by! You are doing really well. I have lost over 100 lbs. and haven't really lost more than 2 or 3 since the middle of January.
Keep it up!

My BMI still has me at overweight, too, but I don't feel overweight anymore. I'm happy to hear that you are doing so well.

I walked/jogged the Houston Marathon in January. I love to hear that another Marcher is marathoning, too. Good Luck!

Oh how very sad about your father. I'm sure this is a very emotional day for you. I'm sorry.
On the other hand, wow, what progress you have made. I only wish I could be succesful as you. I wish you the best on the 28th. Thanks for posting.

Topic: RE: What Did/Will You Eat Today?
Weird day for me, too. I've eaten two meals out today, which I never do. So I don't know my totals. I had a protein bar to start the day, which was 170 calories and 20g of protein. Later I had a protein shake with 100 calories and 20g of protein. For lunch I had a grilled cheese with ham, only I couldn't eat most the bread and the cheese was stuck to the bread, so I had what little cheese I could scrape off, maybe 3 slices of ham, and much less than half of the bread. I also had a couple bites of apple sauce. For dinner, I had a small salad with lots of veggies with fat free vinagrette dressing, and about 1/3 of a Chili's hamburger with no bread at all. I am so full I could pop! I'm finished eating now for the day. I don't even want to think about food!
I was planning on hitting the gym, but I'm so full I'm afraid I'll throw up once I get running. So I may punt on the gym and do a double workout tomorrow. I'll go walk the dog a few miles when my tummy settles.
I'm very glad to see this post! Knowing I'll be posting for all the world to see tomorrow will keep me on the straight and narrow (not that I'm ever far off). Thanks for posting!

Not only hard on your stomach but also causes ulcers in the blind stomach. The only way to get to it is to open you up. Definitely stay away form those NSAIDs.

Topic: Galbladder follow up
Well first of all, thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and support. I had the gallbladder out yesterday. It was able to be done laproscopically. Happy dance for that. I am feeling sore today, but glad it is over. I actually think this pain is much less than the RNY pain. So, it seems fairly easy. I am going to get a shower soon and see how I feel.
My one year follow up appointment is next Friday. I am interested to see what my labs show. Hopefully not much. I still take iron and expect that will not change.
Again thank you all,
Terri
