I plan on going to the gym tonight for at least 35 min on the elliptical trainer then home to use the body ball for some ab exercises. At least that's the plan.
I made my 1 yr follow-up with appointment with the surgeon, I'll go for the labs on Wed and see him next Monday the 27th. Six days after my actual anniversary but close enough. I figured that putting it off wasn't motivating me at all so I made the appointment.
Topic: Had my first PS consult!!!!!!
Hey Marchers I just wanted to stop in and let you guys know that I had my first of many PS consults. I have decided to start on my second half of this journey by going to different PS in my area just to get an idea of what I am looking at if PS is not covered by insurance.
The DR. I consulted with was Dr. Joseph Fodero in Livingston, NJ. He was a very nice man, upfront, and very thorough. He did let me know that almost half of his practice is focused on WLS patients being it by WLS or there own means. I was very excited and anxious to get naked in front of this man!!!!!
He said that I would be a good candidate for a Lower Body Lift, that is actually what I would like to get if I could. I dont think a TT would be enough. I also was interested in breast lift but he says that he would only do the Lower Body Lift at one time and I would have to get anything else that I wanted at a second surgery.
Now lets talk about how much I would need for just a Lower Body Lift.................to be exact........$17088 and that is with tax. So if you see I wont be having that done anytime soon...at least not by him....I still have 2 other consults that I have scheduled...I had already figuired that he would be very high but the main reason I am doing this is to get an idea of what I am looking at...I know right now the only way that I am going be paying for anything like that is if I win the lottery.
I will actually be writing a mored detailed list of what the pricing and breakdown is in my profile....so if you want to reference back you can...
I have been doing alot of research when it comes to PS...becuase I need it and I want it.
Until Next time...Hope all is well for everyone.....because everything is going great for me

I totally now where you are coming from. I have been telling my girlfriend this exact same thing for the past few weeks...and she just finds it so funny when I say it. Now my gap is not 2 inches but i definitely can see between my thighs, know i just have to get rid of all that excess skin on my thighs so I can see completely.

Everyday I'm amazed at the confidence in myself building. No more the "never draw attention" lack of self confidence. This past weekend, my husband and I went honkytonking and sang Karaoke together! I loved it even though I didn't sing a single note in tune!
Had a cropped red T-shirt on with tight jeans and, wow, I felt sexy! One year ago, I'd died first before even going on stage to request a song, now I'm singing them and don't even care if everyone is watching me. Now, it's fun being the center of attention.

You are cracking me up! Isn't it crazy to see daylight between the thighs?!! Who would have thought so much could change in a year. Congrats on your two inches!!
Topic: RE: 1 year anniversary!
Jill,
Congrats! Your pictures are so cool! I wish I had kept as good a visual track of my weight loss as you did. You can really see the difference between months. Way to go!!!
Topic: RE: Have lost 148 pounds so far!
Angela,
That is so amazing! You look great, BTW. What a great weight loss, and you are so close to your goals! Keep it going!

Topic: RE: Bittersweet anniversary (long)
Aw, sweetie!
I kinda sorta understand. I lost my mother 3-1/2 months after my surgery. She got to see the beginning of my journey, but I wish she was here to see the results. I miss her too.
Hang in!

Topic: RE: Galbladder follow up
I hope you are well on your way to healthy. The thing that really made me decide to have it out was the gallbladder pancreatitis. I went to a liver doctor and he really was in insistent that I get it out. He didn't want to do nothing, like I did. Then, I saw the surgeon he said the same thing. So, being a nurse I have taken care of people with pancreatitis, and decided I really better do this when I wasn't sick with that. I know it is painful and I hope that you are over all that. Was your RNY laproscopic? Mine wasn't. There is no comparison for me. This lap was easy. And I have had 2 C-sections, too. With vertical incisions. I have had enough abdominal surgery, except for the TT, LOL.

Terri
