Hi Terri, Glad to hear you are doing well. I had my gall bladder out 1/16/06 done lap with my surgeon who did RNY, I recovered alot quicker with this surgery although was in hospital 4 days due to reaction to anesthesia with vomiting. My 1yr anniv is March 30. It is hard to believe how quickly it went. I hit the Century Club!!!! 100 lbs lost. I am almost at goal 150, but I think I will go to 145, it is only 9lbs away. But anyway I am happy for you and good luck with the rest of your journey!! Lynnd 254/154/new goal 145

Julie: Way to go. I think you look great! What a difference and I love the shorter hair too. It's you and you alone. Keep doing the right things and you'll find where your body needs to be. Dave

I'm feeling so healthy...can't believe it's been a year already! I've lost 108 pounds so far...started at 278 and am now 170. I'm 5'2" tall and I'm working towards my goal weight of 130, 150 is my surgeons goal. So I'm getting there...slowly but surely. I'm encouraged, thankful, healthy and feeling so much better. Yet there are times I feel like a failure, because I haven't reach my personal goal yet. Am I being selfish, unrealistic, or vain? I sure could use some advice and encouragement here. Thanks for all your support throughout this life changing year! Julie

My menu is pretty consistant from day to day: Breakfast: Yogart 12 cup with fruit of choice (sliced lite peaches, canned blueberries or mango) coffee with cream (no powdered stuff...no protein) Snack: 12 cup raw, unsalted peanuts Lunch: jerky & a glass of milk Snack: love those peanuts Evening: Rare Steak, 1/4 cup corn Snack: peanuts & milk Midnight snack: yogart or cottage cheese As you can see, I'm a yogart & Raw peanut freak! My hair has finally stablized and not thinning anymore. I've never stopped to add up the protein count of my daily intake. Shame on me. Becca RNY 09 Mar 05

Topic: What is everyone eating today?
Morning all - today is my one year anniversary and I weighed in at 153.6 lbs. Exactly one year ago I was at 252 lbs, and three months prior to that at my consult, I was at 267 lbs (which I count as my starting weight) for a total loss of 113.4 lbs to date. Seeing it in writing is kind of awesome to me. So, here's my plan for today: Breakfast - turkey w/cream cheese roll-ups = 13g protein Snack - 1/2 cup trail mix = 12g protein Lunch - ground turkey w/shredded cheese in 1/2 pita = 20g (approx.) Snack - Pria complete nutrition bar = 11g Dinner - Probably a protein smoothie = 30g I have a dance aerobics class at the gym tonight so I'll have one hour of cardio for today. I really need to start incorporating some strength training, but I'm still intimidated by the machines and the big burley guys that hang around them. Thank you to everyone here for your support and encouragement through this first year, it's been a big part of my success.

Hey Jessica - I think we're all feeling that way right about now. I'm at 153 this morning and my surgeon wants me at 140. I go see him for my 1 yr follow-up next week and I know I won't be at goal, very depressing. But, I've started something that I hope takes off on this board, it's a daily "what are you eating and how are you exercising" type of post. It works really well on one of the other boards and I thought I'd steal it for us to use here. Kind of an accountability and encouragement type of posting. Please join us, the more people we have participating, the better because it helps give us ideas on different foods and exercise that we may not have tried. Toni (1 year today) 267/153 (personal goal=135ish)
