Drinking more water is fine as long as you are taking all your suppliments. Some nutrients are water soluable and will be washed out of your system if you drink too much right after taking them. Also, if you drink too soon after eating a meal, you will empty your pouch which can leave you feeling hungry sooner than you otherwise would. Check with your doctor but you can probably safely drink up to 120 oz a day.
Topic: RE: Question??
in my experience I never was thirsty and I still am not thirsty... I wish I would be I don't take in as much water as I should.
Sometimes I get so busy at work that I don't drink for hours. It became a joke that I can have a 16oz glass of iced tea and it will still be there at the end of the day. I need to start drinking even if I am not thirsty. I do also have a problem with swallowing it properly that is why it feels like a chore sometimes to drink.
The more you drink I belive their is no wrong with doing it, but you may want to check into it..
The one thing I noticed is that I my body is always cold and my hands always frozen, my primary doctor told me to start taking vitamin E. I will try it.
Be well and drink up!!!

SO happy for you and especially to hear that you are feeling great.
The self pay ones may even bring a brighter smile to your face.
Not sure of what I may start looking into, but I am interestedin the belly area,(not sure if that is called the panni surgery or tummy tuck) I totally want my boobs done, they are like all crinkly and they lay on my lap when I am not wearing a bra... I know not a great visual. But I wouldn't trade the extra skin and sagging for the extra weight back. I know I feel like I also have been givin a second chance of living my life....
Be well!

Topic: Question??
Forgive me......I know there is not such thing as a stupid question...but I feel a lil awkward about asking anyway so here it goes.
Have any of you ever found that since WLS you are more thirsty than you were before Surgery?
I find that during the summer I want to drink and drink and drink to the point I worry maybe I am doing something wrong or just maybe it is my body telling me something...or heck maybe it is just some side effect of WLS and being summertime and higher temps.
Thanks for listening.

I am glad that I read your post. I thought that something was wrong with me because I am constantly getting boils, especially in my private area and on my stomach. I never related them to weight loss surgery though but now that I think about it they are way more frequent. I mentioned it to the doctor that I have been seeing (I don't see the surgeon anymore) as well as my primary care physician and neither of them really gave me a solution. I even had to have a little minor surgery to cut one out that was under my arm the size of an egg. I am going to have to do some research on this to see what I come up with.

Hi Donna,
I havent lost any weight since around Thanksgiving. In fact I have gained between 8 and 10lbs...which makes me ill. But I do go to the gym 6 times a week...right now just treadmill and swimming but meeting with a trianer next week for a weight routine. I though my problem was stress from moving to a new state but now that I have been watching myself I know it is carbs. They dont bother me...and neither does sugar. I so wish I was someone who dumped. I never have even if I eat a candy bar...UGH!! I keep telling myself that I didnt go thru all of this to gain weight back!! I wear a size 10 or 12 but was in a size 8 at christmas time...I know, I should be happy...but IM NOT!!! I just was told I have a fibroid tumorin my uterus and although I know that is not a serious thing and can be taken care of I am stressed thinking about having to have another possible operation. OK, sorry, needed to vent a bit. Whew...thanks, I feel a bit better having typed that.
Hugs,
Michelle
