Topic: My hair is terrible
Is anyone having trouble with their hair still. I used to have baby fine hair before surgery, but I had a lot of it so it looked pretty. I started losing hair at about 2 & 1/2 months out of my surgery and stopped losing about 4 months later. It was growing back and I had little baby hairs coming out every where. Then around Christmas my dog got really sick and I loved her so much it was just killing me inside know what was going to happen. It took me a month to come to terms that she was not going to get better and had to put her down in January. About 2 months later my hair started falling out again. I know it was from the stress of my baby being sick. Anyway, it stopped falling out about a month later. I still have lots of baby hair growing in, but now it just seems the hair that was long has stopped growing. I have not had my bangs cut in over 2 months. Used to I'd have to get them cut every 4 weeks because they would grow so fast. I'm very concerned. I am getting the protein recommended by my nutritionist and taking the following vitamins: Calcium citrate, Prenatal vitamin w/iron, Super B Complex, Zinc, Biotin, & B-12. I just wondered if this is a concern for anyone else. I had blood work back in March and all was good. It's very frustrating. I thought I'd be back on the road to nice hair by now. I did try using Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner, but it seemed to make my hair dry and brittle so I stopped using it. Anyone have any suggestions. It's really bugging me. Thanks in advance.

Topic: RE: FINALLY ONEDERLAND
Congrats on getting to onederland. It's a great place to be and I know that many of us haven't seen it for many, many years.
I too was sidetracked by my old food addictions. Since my son has been home from college for the summer, I've fallen back into my old eating patterns and haven't seen any progress on the scale. I've got to rededicate myself to using the tools and get the ball rolling again.
I had to have emergency gall bladder surgery at the end of March and my surgeon found and fixed a hernia while he was in there. So I too will be starting at square one for getting insurance to even consider my tummy tuck. Oh well, that's a project for next year, I want to concentrate on getting to goal now.

Topic: FINALLY ONEDERLAND
HI ALL MARCHERS
Finally,I reached the onederlands,it took me a long time to get there.Well most of it was my fault,I started to go back to my old ways of eating.I noticed I started eating more carbs than usual and the weight started to pile on.So we stayed in the 200"s-210"s for months.Last month I went to a regional conference group in pittsburg it was fun.I took the tools I relearned and put then back in practice,Now I'm 198lbs::Yahoooo!!!!FINALLY.
Now I'm home bound due to inguinal herniahad surgery 5/30/06 this took me off guard because I knew I had a hernia(thought it was small)and that was my ticket for my tummy tuck in DEC oh well.So I'm back to square one.
Anyway,hope everyone have good summer.

Topic: RE: Caution..Caution enter if you dare...Excess skin issues and problems that come with it
Thanks for being so open and honest. I am also having a problem with my booty crack-it's killing me. No sexy underwear and it frequently itches so bad that I just want to run into the backyard nekkid and rub against a tree. heehee. Actually, I have scratched it raw on more than one occasion. I also have gotten repeated perirectal abscesses, which I never had before-but the doc told me in March is not related to anything. (I don't know about that.) My problem is, I no longer have health insurance-I am working two jobs trying to make ends meet and I can't really afford to go to a doctor. I am trying to self treat. Any answers you get will be greatly appreciated by many!
Thanks

Hi Becky
Glad your feeling better and everything went ok ,sound like you also had a blockage too.I went through the same thing last year had abd. pain after I ate but had gotten worst a week later where I was nasuea and vomitting.I had blockage with double hernia funny ha!.
Going for my appt. last month,to ask about my tummy tuck for Dec.instead hearing good news my doctor tells me I have a hernia and it need repair by end of the month. What a blow to the head,I wasn"t prepared for this.Surgery was 5/30 and recovery at home is boring .I was grounded can't lift anything what a bore.
Well hope everything goes ok with you.Feel much better.

Topic: RE: Question??
Hey there!
I drink at least 120 oz a day, and that doesn't count my hot teas. I'm 3/4 of the way into my day and I've already had a total of 136 oz of water. I find that it keeps me from feeling hungry. Not to mention it also keeps me regular. I love it.

AWWWWWWWWWW--I know your pain---I know you will be feeling better---I had one hernia repair prior to bypass and another done after bypass---and now I am going for a triple--lol---waiting it out for hopefully abdminoplasty at the same time---but if it acts ugly--I will be on the table before that----Hernias are a pain --litereally!
Best wishes and take care!

Topic: recent surgery
I had to have emergency surgery for an internal hernia a few days ago.
I was having a lot of pain, but didn't want to go to the ER, so I waited to go to my surgeon the next afternoon. As soon as I got to his office, the pain stopped. I felt very foolish, because he made a special trip there just to see me. I drank some water in his office, still no pain. He suggested I go next door for a CT test and as soon as I got over there (about 10 min. later) the pain started again. I called him and told me forget about the tests, that he wanted me to go the hospital to have a scope to see if I had an ulcer and if I didn't, he was going to do surgery at 5p that night. I knew I was in pain, but I hadn't ever thought it would require surgery.
Turns out that part of my intestines had fallen into a spot in body that it shouldn't have been in, and it was pinched off - so nothing could pass through. He did the surgery "lap" and I was back home the next day. Feeling much better now. The good news is that he looked through that whole area and said that the chances of it happening again were extremely unlikely. I am so glad that I have insurance again - I could not have afforded this "surprise" surgery otherwise.

i have the same thing going on, my guess is b/c before surgery i ate more so i got more hydration from foods. that and i've learned the difference between hunger and thirst, something i had a problem with pre-op.
