Topic: RE: How much can you eat?
I am not sure what normal is or if there is even a normal. Everyone is different. I can tell you that I don't eat even close to that. I don't know how big of a sandwich you are talking about but I can't even eat a half of a sandwich at one time. I haven't touched one chip and definitly haven't eaten any. Sugar, fats and carbs are barely in my diet at all. Actually food and me don't get along well anymore. Hang in there and talk to your doctor next week and be honest with him I am sure he will have the right answers for you and help. Good Luck, stay positive and congrats on the 60 lb loss!!
Topic: How much can you eat?
At 6 mo I feel like I am back to eating like a regular person, not a bariatric patient. It's less then I ate before surgery but still way too much. i can eat a whole subway sandwich and chips! Is this normal??? I have my 6 mo. check up next week and I am afraid the doc is gonna flip out if I tell her that! I am worried i stretched my pouch....
Also, I have no self-control and am falling back into bad habits... My weight has plataued (lost about 60lbs total) which I read is somewhat common but I am just eating out of control!
Are you experiencing this?
Topic: Been away for awhile but I am back
I haven't been around much, been spending some beautiful days at the Jersey shore. I just wanted to write a short note to say hi to all of my fellow Marchers and congratulate everyone on their continued success. I don't have much to report since I don't weigh myself at home and won't get weighed until I see my surgeon in November. I can say that my clothes are all huge on me, but I refuse to buy much since the warm weather season is coming to an end. I use my sewing machine whenever possible to hold me over.
I do have 2 questions, one for everyone, Does anyone else ever find themselves saying "I need to put something in" instead of " I am hungry or "I am starving"? Food and me aren't the best of friends, it is very rare that I even enjoy it but I eat because I have too. I no longer throw up because I now know what and how to eat but most days food makes my stomach feel weird. It's a real turn off. Except of course, right before that time of the month. Which leads me to my other question for the ladies, has anyone else noticed that your emotions are extremely out of control, for like a week before your period is due. Now, I am not talking normal PMS, but you know, like are you a freaking nutcase? I noticed it 2 months ago and this month was really bad. I just hope there isn't a pattern here because my family will leave me....lol.
Hope you all had a fabulous summer! Thanks and I'll see you on the boards!
Topic: RE: Extreme Hunger and Gall Bladder???
I cannot say if it is your gall bladder, but I am very hungry. I had my gall bladder our years ago. It is probably head hunger, but I am not controlling it at all. I am concerned. Cheri
Topic: RE: This is getting old!!!
I totally agree with you. I have not lost a pound in 3 weeks, and my surgery was March 30th. I am very concerned about my old habits coming back. I teach school, and since school started, I want to much all of the time. I don't even feel really full after a meal. I am so worried that I am ruining all the good that has been done because I don't use self-control. Cheri
