Hope, you need to have somebody on the board design a profile page for you (check out any that have been customized--at the bottom you'll find a link to the designer.) When you set up your design, be sure to ask them to include the card on your profile. Greg (342/209/178)

I am feeling so very blessed that God has granted me the opportunity to have a surgery that has enhanced my quality of life, in so many ways. God gave me the strength nad courage to actually do it, and touched the hands of my surgeon as he operated on me, and pulled me through. As of today, I have lost 106 pounds and went from a size 24 to a size 10. I can walk without pain, get on rides at the amusement park with my teenagers, sit on the floor and get up, and go down the slide with my 2 year old at the park. This is living life for me...just being able to enjoy my family, and the fact that I look better is just an added bonus. This has been amazing and very serious at the same time. I don't take anything for granted including my health and I continue to thank God and do the best that I can. But...I am one happy camper right now. I'm just 14 pounds from goal..hooray! One question though....how do you get a century club card? Start- 270/164/goal-150

A wonderful feel good post to wake up to! I have to agree there are ups and downs but like you, I would do it all over again without blinking an eye! It is so heartwarming to hear how surgery made such a beautiful change to you life. Congratulations!

Topic: RE: Been away for awhile but I am back
I heard about the whole hormonal thing but hoped it wasn't only happening to me. I experienced it once before with a dramatic weightloss but wanted to hear if everyone started at the same time as me and how bad it has been for them. I was on zoloft for years went off it after surgery and am trying to stay off of it along with all my other meds which I no longer need. Thanks for the advice and it's good to see you on the boards again. Take care! Jean

I have been told by people in my support group plus by my doctor that losing weight gets our estrogen out of balance and out of whack and it's normal to be an emotional roller coaster. I noticed it on month 4 as well. I'm on Zoloft now and that helps a bit. Ask your doctor for something because it's normal and there's medication out there to help balance our levels out without us zoning out or anything. Thanks for posting! Glad to see you here. Topic: RE: How much can you eat?
Are you drinking when you eat? That is probably how you are able to eat a sub and chips at one sitting. I can eat a 1/2 a 6" sub and a few chips at this point, but not the whole bag or the whole sub. We are all different though, so what one person can or can't eat differs from the next and that doesn't mean it's right or wrong. You NEED to have SELF-CONTROL!! Remember, this surgery is not a cure-all for obesity. It's just a tool and we still have to do all the work. I'm finding now at 6 months out that the "work" is beginning for me. It was a walk in the park the first few months, but now I have to make right food choices. I find myself falling into my bad before eating habits now and then and I catch myself and STOP! I didn't have this surgery to get to 278 lbs. I still have a hundred more pounds to go and I have to work at it. (I started at 376.) The surgeon gave us a tool - we just need to use it and work at it. Hang in there! You are not alone! Trisha -98 lbs
