Thank you and i am soooooooo glad to hear from someone who had surgery in 2005..That kinda gives us a feeling of knowing we are still here and working on the weight loss.........Today I weighed in at 145 pds and I am think that I am done trying to kill myself and I need to be happy at this weight Wow 106 pds that great Some times I dont agree with the weight charts as I`m really looking old My charts say I can weigh 122 to 134 pds............I have some hanging skin in the tummy as I had 2 tummy tucks already, I could use 1 more, But I am not going to press my luck. Its been really hard eating better foods and trying not to eat sugar (my favorite) but it makes me REALLY sick and exchausted

Hello Everyone!
I haven't written on boards in a very long time, but do check it out often. The two years flew by, didn't they?
I lost a total of 106 lbs. I have been up down 5-6 lbs. all year. I made a personal goal to loose 20 this year. I'm not sure if my body needs to loose 20 but I want to see if I can.
Surgery has been the best thing I did for myself in my life. I would do it over in a heartbeat.
I do need all the help I can get to continue to loose let alone maintain the loss. It sure will be a life long struggle.
Going to the store and buying "normal" sizes is a great motivator!I love it!!!! The looks from people I haven't seen in years is great! The compliments alone are enough to stay on track (most of the time!)
Good 2007 to all of us Marchers! We are here when we need each other!

Topic: Cold hands and feet
I'm going to have to go see my md on this. My feet and hands are always cold and I get light headed a lot. I'm guessing I have low blood pressure, but I'm a bit concerned.

Hi everyone. First I want to apologize for not having been around to lend support to everyone the way I was supported during my journey. The last 4 months have been insane and hopefully are finally going to settle down back into a near normal routine.
As many of you know my son in bipolar, manic depressive. Well in Oct his meds got out of balance and he had a massive explosion and had to be hospitalized for 2 weeks. We got him home and things were ok but got worse and we had to go back. Billy was inpatient for almost 2 months and now is on day treatment and hopefully will be discharged and back in regular school in the next 2 weeks. I am hoping so because right now our schedule is up at 530 to meet the bus at 7 (his school/ treatment canter is 35 miles away) Be at work by 730 leave work at 3:30 pick him up take him home and then back to work till 7ish. Needless to say the copays and deductables have been ungodly. Then we found out some of my daughters financial aide for school was wrong and had to come up with an unexpected large sum to take care of that and put 1500 of repairs into the truck and car so that both are running and safe so she would have a car for school. We survived that got both vehicles repaired and through inspection. The when I don't think things could get any worse. My son comes running in screaming that the truck is on fire. We all run outside and sure as heck my truck (which was customed built for my dad and very sentimental to me since he passed away) Is in flames. We used 3 extinguishers and 2 hoses and couldn't get it out. The fire department finally showed up and got it out. If you own a ford check out the ford site for recalls Thank God the flames didn't spread to the house or our other car or the neighbors. The investigator said the fire burned at over 2000 degrees because it melted the hood, side panel, tire and glass. We did some checking and the truck was part of a huge recall for ford and we weren't notified seems 1995 - 2005 have a defective cruise control and will just catch on fire. I just sat down in my yard and cried. Liability ins only so no help there and Ford is saying it'll be 6 months before they even look at our truck. So needless to say I have been extremely stressed. I had not been taking my vitamins or drinking water or anything that I am supposed to be doing. I have maintained my weight at 165 so that is good. But I have been having massive headaches, not sleeping and burning stomach. So this week is my get it together week. I set my vits up and upping my water and hopefully will get more rest and down time for me. I am hoping to be on here more to give all the support I can.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and grand new year and have all the best in 2007.
Take Care,
Jeannie

So glad to hear from someone Congratulations on your journey Well I started a diet in 2001 and lost 100 pds on my own I was 320 pds. and miserable AND then I gained back 40 pds in 3 months so the doc said "gastic bypass" and i said please please I went in weighing 240 pds and they had me lose down to 231 pds the day of surgery Now I am at about 147 pds..I want to lose down to 140-142pds and then I will be happy......I dont eat regular meals I do alot of snacking and thats not very good!!! I work out at a local gym 4 times a week, I also discovered sugar over the hoildays so I am trying not to do that. I cant eat a whole plate of food at 1 seating I can eat about half a plate of food but I can snack alot. I love bread so I can have 1 slice a day as a sandwhich...My doctor said to go back to all protein which is eggs, cheese, meats, jerky, etc.......I did in nov. and lost 8 pds but its hard to live that way.... best of luck to you.
