Congratulations! 100 lbs is a LOT! Good luck getting there. It took me almost a month to get the last few lbs off. I'm now down 108, but I don't feel as desperate as I did when I was waiting for it to be -100! Hugggs, Heidi

I don't dump on bacon, but I dump on cereal with milk. Ugh. I get so sick. Dizzy, tummy ache, heart starts racing! Bad, Bad, Bad! We're surgery twins! Hugggs, Heidi

Topic: RE: Plateau Update
Hi Mary Ellen, Even though my date was April 1, I look at March postings every so often and am I glad I did. I have been stalled and struggling at the 50 pound mark. I feel like I must be doing something wrong. I've think I've tried everything from increasing my water , protein and exercise to "plateau buster" eating all to no avail. My daughter who had the surgery after me has lost more weight than I have and eats more and exercises less. I dread seeing my surgeon for my 6 month visit cause she is a "no nonsense" kind of doctor and I know she will think I am screwing up. I walk 2-3 miles a day and sometimes get an extra mile in the evening but I go back and forth with the same 2 or 3 pounds. It is so frustrating. Keep us posted! Jackie

LOL Carolyn, "Get Real" is right on when it comes to one thinking we took the easy way out. Though Ummmm I thought it was a wee bit easier before the surgery. Ive no regrets either though, very happy and healthy I am. I am very happy for you and your success. What a good idea to keep in touch with the nutritionist that has had this surgery. You Can trust she can relate to all you go through. Keep up the great work!

Topic: 9 pounds from the century club!!!
I am just 9 pounds away from the century mark. I wasn't going to update until I had lost the 100 pounds but I was so happy, this morning when I weighed it was just -90lbs, I don't usually weigh early in the am but I had church and wanted to weigh before I left. I weighed again when I got home and it was 222, thats 9 pounds away from me being a member of the century club. Making the century club has been my first goal and I am just so blessed. I still don't see the weight loss very much but I see it some and others see it more. I know as I keep losing I will see it more and more! I am just so happy and wanted to share! Love and Hugs Angela God Bless! Open RNY 3/24/05 313/222/140???

OH YES...bacon will kill you. Little tip, try Turkey bacon. Now being a southern boy, I was VERY doubtful of it when I first tried it, but I like it better now. Very little fat or calories and it actually tastes good...you can eat a whole piece and not have a near death experience from it as you indicated above. Give it a try...good protein too.

I experianced "dumping" for the first time this morning. Can you bleieve it has been almost six months without a dumping episode? It was on bacon! I had 2 strips. It must have been all the fat on it. I started feeling nausous and very weak. We were in a Gander Mountain store. My husband had to practically carry me out. OI was sick all the way home! I went staight to bed and slept it off! Oh God I hope I never go through that again! Anyone else get sick from bacon? Melanie 232/153/130ish
