I know exactly what you mean. I'm down to a 16 that fits good in the waist but the hips and thighs are way baggy and we won't even talk about the butt. My problem is, and always has been, that I carry all my excess weight in my stomach so my waist is bigger in proportion to the rest of me. Not that I'm going to complain too much, there is no other way I could have lost 96 lbs in this short a time frame.

Saw my surgeon this morning and he says that things are progressing very nicely! Down 81lbs since surgery and 96lbs since I first saw him. My bp was 116/74 how cool is that? He said I need to do more exercises to tighten my abdominal muscles. Who'd have guessed that? He did have some bad news. He won't be performing any more WLS, the hospital is cutting the program because of the difficulties in insurance approval. But he will continue to provide follow-up care for all his patients. They (the hospital) are even talking about not sponsoring the support group anymore. Why is it everything has to be about money? At least I know I can come here for support when needed. Thank you, all of you for that! Toni

Well it's actually been 6 months and a week but who cares! I'm now down 115 (260) pounds from my high of 375 in March. I'm loving it! I feel so good and can do things that I had given up on for years. Although my golf game has sucked big time, I realize that changing my body so quickly makes it tough to keep a good swing and all of those things I compensated for while huge are hurting me now. I'll just have to play more to groove a better swing. I'm now playing at least 3 times a week and having a ball (although I'm swinging the clubs a lot more than I used to). Just wanted to check in and let you know that I lurk here sometimes but the change in the board has made it tough to find. I just saw the link here on my view today. I'm pulling for all of you and hope we all continue to lose! Dave

Hello my fellow Marchers. Congrats to you all your success with your weight loss. I rarely post... but I read the boards daily. I guess I'm need of some of your opinions. Here is my problem... (if it is one). I am very thankful for my 85 lb weight loss. I am 5'5 and now weigh 185. When I first started this Journey I was wearing a size 22 pants. I am only down to a loose fitting 18. I can squeeze into a size 16. Some are OK fitting depending on the brand, others I have to lay on the bed to get them zipped up. All 16's fit loose in my legs and but, it's my stomach that I am having the problem with. My issue is, I feel like I should be wearing a smaller size by now, like a size 14. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks guys. Amy

Topic: How would you celebrate?
Hi all, I'm celebrating my 6 month anniversary tomorrow (Wednesday 9/28). I've lost 110 lbs and thanking God every minute for this very surreal experience. I want to make tomorrow special for myself, but I just haven't decided what to do. I have very little money. Going out to eat is an option, but would love to do something non-food related. I've gone walking with my dogs for a mile the past two nights and finally don't hurt when I'm done. I'm alone and would love to celebrate with someone! So, you're all invited to help me celebrate! Hugggs and blessings, Heidi
