Woo-Hoo! YEAH! You did it! That was the best feeling ever for me when I went under the 200 mark and knew I wasn't ever going back!! I'm now at 164, the lowest I've been in over 20 years! I share in your excitement!!

After almost a week at sitting at 200.0, I finally got under the big 2-0-0 mark! It is almost surreal. I honestly cannot remember the last time I was under 200. I know for certain that I was about 210 in high school which was well over 15 years ago.
Cheers!

Topic: RE: How would you celebrate?
I have very little money as well, I have only lost 90lbs (19 to goal!) but I also have been trying to think of ways to celebrate. First of all...I will have my picture taken so I can put it next to my "night before WLS" pic to remind me of how far I have come.
I really love to garden and do things around the house and since it is fall I was thinking about spending a little bit on a tree or plant to put in so come spring when it blooms it will remind me of how I have bloomed.
I packed up all my 20W, 18W, 16W, 16, 14 and size 12 clothes and donated them to Katrina victims-this left me without too many clothing choices but I still have a place to live, so I figure they need them more.
I wrote a list of things I can do now and things I want to do before my surgery...some of them I have already accomplished. One of the things I wanted to learn was roller blading-so this weekend I will borrow my son's blades and practice in the driveway. (If nothing else it will amuse the neighboors.)
I don't know really. I am trying to think of something good, going out to eat just really doesn't sound like a celebration anymore to me.
Good luck!
Becky
Topic: vaginal prolapse (not for men!)
Well I have definately hit a holy cow what was that bump in my journey. I have had trouble with difficult bowel movements all along and it had worried me since I had trouble with a swollen bowel right after surgery but I am able to keep the pipes moving with assistance so I didn't worry about it. I had been having a heavy feeling in my lower back and ab area and was really in pain this weekend to the point I almost had DJ take me to the hospital but it passed and I felt silly.
This morning I went to the restroom and was trying to have a bowel movement when suddenly there is a mass of skin protruding from an area that skin ISN'T supposed to protrude from. I was totally freaked. I had an idea I knew what it was from working in the medical field, but it isn't supposed to happen to me *LOL* I put a call into Dr. Naaman's nurse told her what happened (begged her not to make me have to tell this to Julius, since I see him every visit) She laughs and says ok and she talked to Dr. Naaman and called me back and said that it was probably vaginal prolapse and to go see my GYN and to add 2 fibercon 3times a day to my vitamins (joy more pills).
I just moved to Austin and don't have a doc here so I go to my insurance web-site and start calling 14 calls later and all saying wait till next week or longer, I finally find Dr. Doss and his nurse says come right in. I go in and get examined and YUP got myself a case of vaginal prolapse. Cause by child birth, being obese and large weight loss...DUH got ALL 3 of those
He said the only way to really fix it is surgery but not until it is a constant problem, uncomfortable and causing other issues because it is a RECONSTRUCTIVE surgery. Boy my ears popped up with that word. He agreed that it would be good to wait till my weight loss is level and I was ready for my other reconstructive surgery because it is all tied together.
Anyway. Thought I was dying but I am not thank goodness it was just a freak out situation. I mostly posted this to let ladies know it can and does happen cause no one told me my uhhh cooter could fall out!!! Just tuck it back in check with your doc and keep going *lol*
Please laugh all you want cause I am NOW
Take care
