That is so awesome Michelle! As a military wife, I know that these separations are tough, but aren't the homecomings wonderful?! I haven't seen my hubby in two months and I will see him in only three days! I have lost an additional 15 pounds and dropped from a 16 to a size 12 so he had better notice! I checked out your profile and I just have to say that you look amazing and you are well on your way to your goal. Congrats! Annie

I say manicure or pedicure also.Where I go to school at we do other people and it's very good price's I think a manicure is 5 $ and a ped is 10 $ or some thing like that. That would be the place to go if you have a Cosmetology School.Best of luck to you.. Shelly -130

Topic: RE: what is everyone eating????
Wow! Thank you for this post. I went to see my doc for my 6 month check up but could afford to see the nutritionist, too. (As of last month I have no insurance). I am really struggling with protein because it doesn't take long before a protein shake I liked (or could tolerate) starts to gag me. I had one pack of plain oatmeal(1/2 cup)-the instant kind-at breakfast with a little splenda. I had a cafe caramel protein shake for snack-well a little more than half of it. I had a half cup, maybe a little more of homemade chicken and dumpling soup at lunch-no, I didn't eat the dumplings. I had 3 of those cheese/p.butter crackers for snack and for dinner... I will have beef stew-which for me will consist of one baby carrot, one bite of potato and some stew meat. My final snack will probably be about an ounce of pepper jack cheese. Other than that, I haven't really tried bread since my unfortunate incident a few months ago. I can't tolerate noodles too well, rice doesn't bother me tho. My fruit intake consists mostly of bananas or tomatoes. The only veggie I can't seem to deal with is broccoli. I still can't handle tortilla shells-only the middle of burritos for me. And the other day, well I guess I lost my mind, but I learned that a frozen pumpkin spice mocha from Gloria Jeans coffee at the mall is completely out of the question. (DH was a happy camper tho, he sucked that bad boy right down while I was trying to regain feeling in my upper lip).

That is an absolutely wonderful surprise!! Is the deployment over or is this just a leave? Hopefully he'll be home for a while. Toni

Jeannie, Good job in posting what couldn't have been an easy thing to tell. Also, good job in letting us know about this and that sometimes back pain isn't what it might seem to be. Maybe when you typed this entry you thought "should I or shouldn't I" when it came down to clicking on the "submit" button, but you did good to go ahead. thanks! Myra

my husband surprised me by coming home from the desert 2 weeks early, in time for my birthday!! he had given me a few hints so i was a little suspicious, but it was still the best birthday present EVER!! he was absolutely shocked by my loss, we were hugging and he asked "where is the rest of you?" we spent a week at a cabin in the mountains getting reacquainted, hehe. he lost a little weight himself, so both of us had to figure each other out again! anys, i just had to share! (and this explains why i haven't been on the board in a while!) my 6 month anniversary is tomorrow, i'll post my progress pics soon! michelle 277/184/150?

you are not alone, i also have that problem--i've had it since i had my son, but it's become more pronounced after surgery b/c i have bowel difficulties more often now. i've learned to deal with it over the years, but it seems to have gotten worse and i'm kind-of considering surgery for it now.
