I am kind of new to the March 2005 board--not new to wls. You do not know me, but just wanted to say you seem to be doing a good job with all the life events you have had. Not sure I could go through all you have been through and still worked the program. I am a stress eater and surgery did not fix that. Good luck on your continued progress and let us know how your new life goes. 262/130 5'1'

Claire, I just want to say congratulations on the 90 lbs wl, what an accomplishment. I bet you feel so much better and if you are anything like me just love going shopping for those cute clothes. I think it is wonderful that your HT is gone and you no longer have to take medication. I was on 2 different meds for HT and still could never get it to come down. That is an accomplishment within it's self and believe me honey there's nothing wrong with tooting your own horn. You deserve all the toots, pats on the back, and atta girl you can get. Keep up the good work you are doing marvelous. Deborah W.

Topic: Update to all my March buddies......
It has been a very long time since I've posted. I had no way to post but now I do and I'm baaaccckkkk......Since March 21st 2005 my life has changed dramatically. I've lost 138 lbs, I lost another 280 lbs when my divorce became finalized on the 20th of Feb 2007. I had my complete tummy tuck January 8th 2007 and totally love that. I've sold and bought a new home for me and my 18 year old daughter. I have a permanent job that I'm not real in love with but it does pay the bills for now and I really do like the people that I work with so that's an added bonus....I joined a gym again and went and worked out and my hair was absolutely soaking wet when I got finished so that did me some good I'm sure. Now if I can just keep my procrastinating butt going. It's been 3 months since my tt so I can now exercise safely without risking a hernia. I sure have missed coming on this board and chatting with all my wls friends. This is the one place I can always come to when I needed advise or just an ear to bend. I sure am glad I am able to get back on line again and chat with all of you. Well that's about the long and short of it for now. Hope you are all doing fantastic and happy with your lives and the results that your surgery or surgeries has brought to you and your lives...

Yea for the March 2005 Team!! I know regain is common, but I just do not want to do it. I am at my lowest weight and goal weight. Good luck on the last seven pounds. You can do it and we can keep it off.

I hear you! I'm still trying to get to goal, only 7 pounds to go. I plan to get there, but it's harder now than ever. I'm busting my hump for every pound lost. I fear gaining back any of these pounds! I know some rebound gaining is expected once we settle at our lowest weights, but I still hate to see the scale go up at all. Ugh. I'm with you, let's beat the stats and look back on a healthy post-op year 3!

Susie, I struggle every day to keep from gaining. I go up and down about four pounds. I weigh every day on a digital scale and write it on the calendar. Every time it goes up a few pounds, I start working to get it back off. I live in fear of gaining. I walk, lift weights (some not enough) and still drink the protein drinks. I like Walker Diet mix. It has vitamins in it. I have learned to mix it with warm warm for a warm drink. If the water is hot, it seems to change the texture and taste. I read some where getting the stuff hot changes the protein, etc. I was 262 and weigh 130 now. I do not want to go back. I know how easy if was for me to get that big. I am scared of gaining!!!

The blue dress is WONDERFUL. Congrads!! I have four pounds that I worry with, too. I have learned hitting the protein drinks and walking usually gets it off. I am two years out this month, too. At goal and holding on. 262/130 5'1"
