A Shocker
I am now 13 months out from my surgery. I have lost 135 pounds, many inches, and I have cancer. It was a real shock to get this diagnosis. Fortunately, it is early and well contained, but, just when I thought I would be getting ready to have my tummy tuck, I am losing my uterus instead. I couldn't even talk the surgeon into throwing the tummy tuck in with the bargain! It turns out, all that fat I carried for all those years put me at risk for developing the cancer I have, and being a vegetarian just added to the mix. Who knew?
I will keep you posted on how things go, but for now, just say a little prayer for me.

I would like to thank you all for your support. I had my hysterectomy on April 27, and am now home recuperating. The cancer was confined and all the other tests were negative, so they got it all. I am so relieved! Now I can go on with the business of getting better. Thanks again for all your words of encouragement.
