Good Morning, How are you doing today? I saw Brenda, Dr. Byrne' Nurse practioner on Thursday and she said as long as they are running and you can tolerate them, then have them. There are it a recipe in the booklet from MUSC for Vicchychoise soup. If you do not have your book I will email you the recipe tonight when I get home. I do not think there are any restrictions on the fruit. I hope this helps. Hugs Julie

Thanks, Julie! I am having trouble with most of the pureed stuff, so I stocked up on the cream soups, and I add my veggies pureed to them, but I want to add more protein. Has anyone heard of the No Whey protein powder that you can add to food? Supposedly it has no flavor? Any feedback on this? Ideas on where would be the least costly place to get it or roughly how much it costs? Thanks! Christine

I lived on creamed soups (Cream of Shrimp was my favvvvv w/ added baby shrimp), protein pudding & SF popcicles!!!!!!! I have used the "ANY WHEY" (I think that's the brand name I use) no-flavor protein in anything with a thicker broth or sauce ... Even in chili & spaghetti sauce, for instance (of course, I'm able to eat more things than you are since I'm further out, but it'll work well in creamed soups as well). The only thing is to add it at the end or at the table when the food is beginning to cool down from the cooking/boiling/simmering process. Don't boil or simmer it as it will actually cook into a gloppy mess with a gross texture. I also put flavored protein powders in my decaff coffee ... That's really good. Nick brings that to me in bed on the weekends & we have some special time together over our protein coffee. Oh yeah ... BTW ... Start adding protein products & healthier choices to your family's meals ... Everyone can live healthier, Ms Christine!
