POLL: How much have you lost?
Hi Marchers!
My weight loss has been at a crawl here lately and I was just wondering how everyone else is doing? I have lost 115 since surgery, plus 15 pre-op and while I am very grateful, I still have 38 lbs to go. How is everyone doing and do you have any ideas on how to boost my weight loss. I was hoping to be at 150 when I see my surgeon on March 23rd, but thats not going to happen. Take care everyone! Scarlette

Things have slowed down for me, too. This last month, I only lost 3 lbs. I was 288 and I am now 160, which is a loss of 128 lbs. I don't know if I need to lose more or not. How do you make a decision about what a good weight is? My doctor didn't give me a goal. According to the BMI chart, I am still overweight. I would need to weigh 150 to be at the high end of normal. I'm in a size 8, and I think I look like I am "average". Never thought this day would come!

Scarlette,
As I've posted a couple of times lately, my weight loss has completely stopped. Nothing for 6 weeks now. This is the longest stall I've experienced since the surgery.
I am down 125. I have about 40lbs to lose. I also don't think I will make my personal goal before my surgeon appt. on March 1st.
As to boosting the weight loss, I know that exercise is one of the most important things we can do. I've been sidelined with a minor health problem lately so haven't worked out in a couple weeks. Hope to get back to it next week.
good luck to all marchers.

I started at 315lbs and I currently as of my last wiegh in am at 177lbs, that is a total loss of 138lbs so far. I am 10mths, 4wks, 2days out from surgery. I am 27lbs away from goal which is 150lbs. I hope to get to my goal wieght by 3/3/05 which is my 1-year surgiversary. The only suiggetions that I can give when it comes to jumpstarting your wieghtloss is to go back to the basics, Make sure you drink your water, eat your protien first, and take your vits and definitely exercise at least 30min. day. I hope this helps.

I started at 391 and am now 250. Minus 140. So happy and grateful for this surgery. Do not own a scale (although I am just now wanting to get one). I head back to the surgeon in March, and have not been weighed since December. We'll see how that visit goes. I know that I need to pick up some on exercising. Trying to get into the right frame of mind to do this. Best of luck!!

I was 242 surgery day and 165 yesterday morning. I havent lost anything in probably 2 months. It gets frustrating but I am in a solid size 10 with some 8's thrown in so if I didnt loose anything else I would be ok with it. I agree, go back to basics to jump start the weight loss again and make sure you exercise.
Hugs,
Michelle
I have now lost 150 lbs (as of this morning!) and would still like to lose 7-12 more. I suspect that the only way I'll do that is lots of exercise (which I haven't been doing lately) plus whatever my excess skin would weigh IF (big if) my insurance would cover any post-op plastic surgery. I'd still like to lose 2 more lbs in the next 12 days, as my wife and I are about to leave on a Caribbean cruise and I'd like to be at 190 lbs for that. Still, I'm pretty content with where I'm at right now.

Hello Everyone
My weight loss is very slow as well. I started at 276 and am down to 163 so that's a total loss of 113 lbs which is nothing to sneeze at! But I want more!! I have noticed that I can eat a lot more lately and I find myself grazing a little while I'm at work. I agree with Tyshea's post that I probably need to get back to the basics.
Well congratulations to everyone and keep up the good work
Jennifer
