Hi gang! It is hard to believe it is almost 1 yr, March 30th for me. It has been a while since I posted. I am 2wks post op from gall bladder surgery. This was an experience which all started 11/02/05 when I landed in the hospital for 2days will a severe attack and alot of tests were done. In doing so they also found a mass on my bladder, so another Dr. my urologist ordered MRI. He said oh it is not cancer, we will just follow up in March with another ultrasound. But since I was going for the gall bladder surgery, which is the same Dr. that did my WLS he did an exploratory as well, repaired 2 hernias, detatched my colon from my bladder, took my gall bladder, and did 2 biopsies. Well, good news there is NO CANCER, but found that the mass was my ovary and fallopian tube attached itself to my bladder. This all happened during my hysterectomy 2 yrs ago.So I may need more surgery down the road, if it becomes necessary. But, I look at the bright side, I am down 98lbs., off my sugar and blood pressure meds, almost at goal, and look and feel like a 20 yr old, which is good as I am going to be 41 on Friday! Wow Lynn, I'm sorry you had to go through all that! One good thing is that they found what they needed to find. It sounds like they did some extra "tune up" work as long as they were in there. I hope you're feeling better. Congratulations on being at goal!! Stacey

That's a lot of surgery. Sorry you had to go through that. I am glad to hear that you are feeling young and strong, tho. I met someone when I first went to have surgery that had to have her gallbladder out. She said that she had to go back on all liquids. Do you have to do that, too? Becky

My surgery date was the same as yours and I have lost 130 pounds. I have a question though, what are the symptoms of a gall blader attack?

Oh Hope, the symptoms were awful. After meals I got such bad pains in upper right side of abdomen also below the ribcage that radiated into my back under shoulder blade. It was breath taking pain that lasted hours. My job had to call 911 for me. It was then most of the office found out about my WLS. When the paramedics arrived they had to ask about health history, surgeries, etc. Since then everyone has been so supportive to me. Wow, way to go, 130lbs!!!! Lynnd

Oh wow!! What an ordeal! I never heard of the ovary and fallopian tube attaching itself to the bladder - how scary!! So glad they caught it and that everything was benign and all is good. Wow!! Yay!! Congrats on your gallbladder being out. I had mine taken out 3 mos post op and have had no problems since. Amazing. You are so close to goal. Wow!! I bet you already look like you are at goal being so close to it. Yay!! Congrats! Trisha
