This d*#&@^ plateau
Well, I am glad I am not the only person . Truly the worst thing after having this surgery for me is this plateau (I say this one because it's the only one I've had).
I'm going to the grocery store tonite, and stocking up on nice lean meats and such and try to avoid the carbs, which I haven't been hitting to badly anyway.
I did read on a thing about dieting on AOL the other day, that you can hit a plateau if you eat the same things, so I will switch up my food. I have been eating the same stuff since I was allowed on regular food again. I kind of found a niche and I need to expand my eating horizons.
I am a VERY picky eater, hell, I annoy myself with how picky I am. Plus, I have this inability to make a lunch the night before and remeber to take it with me.
Ah well, something I have to work on.
Good luck to everyone in breaking THEIR plateaus!
Thanks Again,
Genny
Thank You Genny for starting this post. I am so like all of you. I have been bouncing between 195-200 since October and Just Now dropped down to 193. I know I tend to nibble after dinner once I am home... not so much nibble as get a snack. during the day I am fine, for breakfast I eat one egg on 1 peice of Weigh****chers wheat bread. Lunch four peices of healthy choice lunch meat rolled up with honey mustard and 4 cubes of cheese. Dinner is where I fail because not having alot of money makes making healthy dinners all that harder. I have been trying to basically do a meat and veggie and thats it. Doc says I have too much protein but he isnt concerned. my only really big downfall is that I can not stomach any type of diet drinks and trust me I have tried them all. So I have resorted to drinking homemade decaffenated ice tea and I use 3/4 C sugar per gallon. and I might drink 1/2 a gallon a day. and I know that thats about 4oo calories right there which makes me so nauseous but I need the fluid so..... anyways.... It is so comforting to know that there are other people yoo yooing since Oct. I really need to come on more often so I know Im not the only one out there....
