Tyshea, Have you tried sugar-free koolaid? I like that from time to time as a change a pace. Also how about the flavored waters like propel or dasana? There are also some drinks by crystal lite - orange, rasberry etc. good luck, corgimom

I have a desk job and found I was doing the same thing. sipping the same drink forever. I went and got a rubbermaid 1/2 jug with a pour spout. Every morning I take it and put 4 bottles of water in it and either crystal light, decaf tea, sugar free kool-aid. I have my glass and I set that jug on my desk next to my PC it is a constant reminder to drink drink drink. It is hard but getting dehydrated is VERY VERY dangerous. If I can get that 64 oz in durgin the day then what I drink at home is BONUS fluids Just what I have found works for me Jeannie 3/9/05 5'7" 315-165

Okay- I will share some thought sin a minute. But first- Hate you girl. You just look too, too good. Fabulous really darling!!! Okay- on to dehydration. This is an area I know well becuase I was in it so bad I was hospitalized twice. First, I learned that I was in such a high level or ketosis that no matter how much I drank it didn't help. From your statement, you just are not taking in enough in the first place. What I did to help was to add many more flavored drinks that made drinking interesting. Fruit o2 tastes good and counts as water. I also added Tropicana Sugar Free orange and Fruit Punch. My nutritionist says is has 100 % vit-c which helps as well. I personally am able to drink diet sodas just fine. Don't do this if you haven't before. My surgeon allows it and It doesn't bother me. But would not be a good idea to start if that is not your protocol. Beyond that a little salt helps you hold onto fluids so keep that in mind as well. Hope this helps. PS- If you are dropping weight fast, ketosis forces you into dehydration so keep that in mind and see your nutritionist if that is happening too fast.

I notice that I drink more water in a shorter amount of time when I use a straw. As newbie post-ops we couldn't use straws, but we are far enough out where straws are okay. You can also try crystal lite or sugar free kool-aid for a fruity flavor. Make it your goal at work to drink ONE cup of water or tea per hour that means that you would have finished 8 glasses of water by the end of your work day! Think of it in small increments like that and you'll be able to reach your daily goals. Keep us posted!! Trisha

I work in an office and it's so much easier for me to be diligent during the week..I know that I drink 24 oz bottle on my way to work (45 minute ride) and I always drink another 24 oz bottle before I eat my lunch. Then after lunch I drink another 24 oz. bottle and then I have a protein NEctar which has about 20. I always take another 24 oz bottle for the way home, which I feel, if I drink..great...but this way I have already had all my liquids for the day before I get home. I usually don't drink the whole bottle on the way home because of the 1/2 thing before dinner, then I feel it's too late to eat and I won't eat dinner, just a protein shake. Then I drink a Matrix Hot Cocoa every night, which again..12 oz of water. This works for me..so does the occassional SF Kool Aid or Crystal Light. Eileen
