Great Mystery of Disappearing Boobs!

Okay- So I am finally going to ask this question. Has anyone else lost so much from their breast size you are a little embarrased at how you look? I have always been a busty woman. Too busty probably. Then this miracle of WLS happened and whoo****'s as if a magician removed the insides and left me with these deflated balloons. I mean really- how much further can they droop and not become part of my belly-button. Seriously, I have to work hard to stuff all that skin into a bra. Now it looks fine once I am done but ya know! I also have noticed that I feel almost numb towards the nipple (sorry if this is TMI for some). Dr. wants me to wait another 6 months before considering surgery but man- it feels and looks weird. I have gone from a 50 DD/G to a 42 B/C. Maybe some just do not feel comfortable talking about this issue but the loose skin is something to deal with. I am fortunate that I have no loose skin in my face, knees, and limited amounts on my thighs, but the rest- ...... Can anyone relate????

"Flapjacks" ! That is a good one. Fortunately my husband has not given mine a nickname yet. If he reads this post he surely will! Thanks for sharing. Nice to know I am not alone. Not a very popular subject- but it is my personal reality.

Thanks for responding. I guess if you can't keep a sense of humor during this process it would be an awkward one. Nice to know you are able to see the humor in our situations. Well I look at it this way. At least I can turn around in the shower now without the shower curtin sticking to my big but and wrapping me up like an overstuffed burrito from Taco Bell. 286/181/150 ish

Ok Pamela...you have got to stop!!! You are just too funny!!! But girl,,,I feel ya on all of the above!!!! Overstuffed burrito from Taco Bell!!! Aint that the truth!!!! But I have to admit..the humor in losing weight is much better than the fake humor when we were fat and trying to cover up the hurt with humor but really crying inside!! Keep up the good work!! And thanks for making me laugh today!!! Patti

Oh can I relate! I've gone from a 44DD to a 38DD. It's weird that I'm still a DD but I just can't stuff all the loose skin in any smaller cup. But without the bra, look out below! I haven't had any problems with sensation, that's still the same, guess I'm lucky there. I don't have loose skin on my face but I do on my neck, abdomen, thighs and butt. And believe it or not, on my back, it's weird when I lie down at night. I have to re-position myself or I get this roll of skin that is not comfortable. The other place I've noticed is in the external vaginal area, not attractive at all. (talk about TMI) Anyway, like you said, we're all dealing with it in some form or fashion. Toni

Hey, I thought I was the only one with that weird moving bump that needs to be smoothed out when I turn over! You know after I posted,I had a hard look in the mirror and realized- I have two butts! The new smaller one and the deflated one underneath it. How on earth did that happen. I guess I was in denial about how big my but was! Then to make it worse, someone at work put a note on the fridge "sagging butts club!" Funny thing- they were not talking about me- oh if they only knew. Patti makes a significant point thought- we did hide the pain we felt before lsoing weight. It was miserable and I never want to go back to that. I would much rather laugh at my loose skin than feel trapped in a body that I knew would become my grave!

Yes, I can relate. I'm living the nightmare! I'm now a double A. God help me. I am getting plastics as soon as I can come up with the $$. This, of course is not covered. I am also experiencing less sensation - bummer! Hange in there (no pun intended) Stacey 283/168/160

Okay- miss over acheiving looser! I can't believe you are less then 10 lbs to goal. Enough of that- yes the loss of sensation is bothersome. My Dr. said it is often a result of decresed blood flow. That may potentially be covered by insurance. It might be worth checking into that aspect. You may be surprised. Especially if you also have an increase in skin infections or problematic acne in folds of skin. Until I can do PS- I will just be flapping in the wind I guess. PS. I do find slipping in a bra helps some times.
