Anyone else having bad month?
My weight loss has really slowed down these last two months. I seem to be going back and forth with the same few pounds. I've only lost 6 pounds in the last 2 months.
After the holidays, I'm planning to get serious about exercising, so hopefully that will get things moving along.
- you are not alone.

Hiya Corgimom,
I had my surgery on 3/28. I WAS having a real slow-down for awhile there. At the same time I was having problems with my hormones & birth control pills & basically had a period for eight weeks with a couple of 3 day breaks. My weight loss was very slow during that time, and somewhere in there I had a little gain also. That flipped me out. I was being pretty good about hitting my marks with protein, water & vitamins. I have been inconsistent with exercise all along. But I was doing more walking, and doing about as well as I ever have in terms of doing what I was "supposed" to, and I felt like I was seeing little reward.
However...all of a sudden, here I am very close to 9 months out, and when I weighed today I had lost FIVE pounds since last week. Last week I had a 3 pound loss. At the same time, I confess I have NOT been doing as well as usual with protein & water. I forgot to take my supplement when i went out of town last week and really struggled to get 2/3 of my protein each day. For some reason water was making me nauseous, and my liquid intake was off also.
So all I have to say is: GO FIGGER! What I am learning is that my body is going to do what it's going to do, sometimes reflecting what *I* am doing, and sometimes seeming to just do its OWN thing no matter what I am doing.
I'm with you - I'm already doing much better since that trip with my protein and water and even exercise. And I'm sure I'll continue to have strange "good" and "bad" months with the losses. But hey - we are getting there!!
Take care & Keep us posted,
Kathy
Well I wouldn't call it a bad month. Not a great month but not a bad month either. My philosphy is that if I lose anything I'm happy. I about did cartwheels this morning to see I still lost a pound this week even though I know I didn't eat like I should have. The one thing I noticed is the inches I'm losing. Since thanksgiving I went from a size 20 pants, to an 18, which are now becoming a little loose and I have lost about 8 pounds..Usually I have to lose closer to 20 before I drop a size so I was pretty surprised. Another thing, I never really cut out all the carbs. I eat bread now and then and I'll eat sugar free cookies or whatever. Usually if I feel like eating something, I eat it. It seems to have worked for me. With the exception of one week in September, I've yet to go a week without losing any weight. I mostly watch my calorie intake more than anything else and I try my darndest not to snack. I've also never even tried to eat anything with more than 8grams of sugar and haven't touched soda since before my surgery. But that's just works for me..each of us are different. Of course the new year is right around the corner so cross our fingers for all of us to keep up with our weight loss. Good luck to you all.

Happy New Year to ALL,
I have had a bad 6-7 weeks. My father passed away and I had to deal with Thanksgiving and Christmas with neither my mother or father. I am the eldest and my brother and sister are in their own world as well. I have not lost a single pound in this time.
I have begun working out harder and looked at my food intake. But at 84lbs lost I should not complain. But I do feel stalled. Thank you for letting me vent about this. It has been very disheartening and I thought I was going to watch this non-movement.
