Everyone is so different- its amazing. today I weigh 185 and can fit a 14 and some 12s. Extra large outfits are too big- ha- too big. A regular large is perfect. I can put on a medium size top but too many flaws show up (if you know what I mean). Maybe after 20-30 more lbs I will fit that 10 some others are wearing. 273/185/150 ish

yeah, that's how i am with larges--they fit, but i'm not comfortable with my bulges so i'd rather get an XL. though every now and then i try an XL and it's just entirely too big. last week i had to pick up some PJ's at target (was on thanksgiving vacation and forgot to pack any!) and i just grabbed an XL off the rack w/out trying them on. they ended up being HUGE, i am SO GLAD they shrank in the wash!

Hi Michelle, I'm an apple shape and currently 181 lbs. I'm only 5.4 1/2. My clothing size is 12 (stretchy jeans), size 12-14 slacks -- depending on the cut, and a Large shirt, which is much improved from my 30-32 pants and 3X shirts. I am really broad through the shoulders and waist though; I have PCOS and fit the body type. The weirdest bones I'm finding are my collar bones (who knew they were there?) and the dip in my sternum. CRAZY! TERREE

I am trying to hold at 145. (My doc's office said hold this weight for 3 weeks.) I am 5'8", small frame and I was a pear. Now I am a stick. I bought my first actual new outfit this weekend. Old Navy, pants 6L and sweater-M. I have no butt and no boobs, just these bizarre looking lumps somewhere near my RNY incision. (My belt helps hold them up.) I went from a 38DD to a 36C-although I think I need a B. I just can't get past how very strange my boobs look to me. DH says they are okay, but I am back to wanting it very dark if I am nekkid. It is amazing to think that 8 months ago we would have laughed at someone who told us we would have these "problems". I know that you look fabulous Michelle and will continue to "shape-shift" just give it time. Becky R 254/145/147

I'm a LapBand so my weight loss is not as dramatic as you guys. You make me jealous is some ways! Anyway, I am 5'2" and recently bought a regular size 14 jeans which fit loosely. My shirts are medium/large. I did buy a size 10 jacket that looks fabulous, though! I am somewhere between an hour glass and apple shape. I have a waist, but my belly(abdominal) tends to be big. I also noticed that I lost more than I cared to in my butt-- the tail bone pokes out and is very uncomfortable to sit in some seats! While the fat on my belly lingers! I am in a 38B bra, and holding. Slightly deflated looking. ~Jojo

Wait, Michelle.... You are 5 inches taller than I am and you weigh 5 pounds less than I do, yet you are one size larger in the pants than I am? I think that we are shopping in different places!! Are you in Europe by any chance? American sizes run larger than the rest of the world! The other thing it could be is the store and style of cut you are buying. The LandsEnd type clothes tend to be for a more lean figure, for iinstance. Just fyi and for comparison, my recent size 14 jeans are regular cut Levi's. My frame is little/petite. This post really does show that "regular" women are of all SORTS of sizes and shapes and fits and cuts, the combinations seem almost endless! If only the fashion and beauty industries and advertizers would get that into their heads! Maybe most women wouldn't hate their bodies as much as they do! ~Jojo

My body structure has changed I guess. I am 5"8 143 pounds and I wear a size 6, a size 4 if I got a tummy tuck. I wear a small shirt. At 180 I was in a 12/14. As a teenager I was 127 pounds and wore a size 10. Maybe clothes are made differently now. I have never in my life fit a size 6. My major weigh tlose though was my butt, thighs and hips. I'm straght up and down these days, the curves feel off with the weight.
