Our weight loss by month
Okay, I know it is not good to compare ourselves to one another but...I was wondering how everyone is doing in their weight loss? I recently calculated how much I have lost by month and it is all over the map.
I started at 306, am now 184.2. My monthly loss looks like this,
1st month 32.3
2nd month 14.5
3rd month 19.0
4th month 10.0
5th month 5.8 (2 week plateau)
6th month 16.0
7th month 8.4
8th month 6.8
9th month 9.0
How is everyone else doing?

The first several months, what I lost each month seemed extremely important. I find I am not as stressed about it anymore, tho. When I get dressed to go out, I feel regular sized. It's a great feeling. According to the weight-by-height chart, I need to lose between 20 to 30 pounds more. (I'm 5'5")
Month 0 - 0 lbs (288)
Month 1 - 37 lbs (251)
Month 2 - 13 lbs (238)
Month 3 - 13 lbs (225)
Month 4 - 14 lbs (211)
Month 5 - 14 lbs (197)
Month 6 - 9 lbs (188)
Month 7 - 7 lbs (181)
Month 8 - 9lbs (172)

My weight loss has been a roller coaster ride. I haven't lost anything in a week....... again... I don't really track it on a certain day each month, but this is fairly accurate. I want to lose 51 more lbs
I started at 294 and now weigh 191, so I've lost 103 lbs.
1st month 24
2nd month 26
3rd month 10
4th month 14
5th month 7
6th month 10
7th month 7.5
8th month 4.5 ouch.. had a plateau ...did plateau buster diet and lost 4 lbs, but fell off the wagon after 5 days. I need to get back on. :ride:
Well, my stats should make everyone feel better about their loss! I lost about 60lbs in my first 10 weeks (didn't keep track by month) and then lost nothing for the next 4 months. Not a damned pound. Then I lost another 15 or so in 2 weeks just after my 6 month anniversary, and now I'm plateaud again. It drives me crazy. I feel like I wasted that first precious 6 months but my surgeon disagrees. I've just been told to do half the exercise I was doing and up my calories to 1200 a day to see if I can lose more. I have never worked harder at any weight loss than I have with this (600-800 calories a day, keeping track of every bite, and working in the gym an hour a day 6 days a week, then walking my dog 2 miles) and I have had what I consider to be a miserable result, except for that first wonderful 10 weeks.
I hope everyone's weight loss continues at such wonderful paces! I'll post and let everyone interested know if my increased calories and decreased exercise helps me jump start the loss!

Great question!
My weight loss has slowed down a lot this month. I weigh myself everyday and I would religiously track my weightloss. I still weigh everyday, but I realized that I haven't written down my weight for the last 2 weeks. I am losing a little more slowly than most, but it's coming off and the scale eventually moves down, so I'm happy. Here is my tally.
1 mo -21
2 mo -11
3 mo -09
4 mo -12
5 mo -05
6 mo -10
7 mo -06
8 mo -03

I have lost another pound since then, but with the holidays, it's next to impossible for me. You all have done great and we deserve a hand!
