Eating alot
Hi I am 8 months post-op and really getting an appetite I am still happy with my surgery but not happy with myself shoving food in me like there`s NO tommorrow. I found that at 6 months out I could eat more, So I guess its true we are all on a honeymoon for 6 months and then we need to watch it.....I am really going to watch it now.
Happy thanksgiving to all

Its good to know that I am not the only one that feels like they eat a ton of food. Then again pigging out for me now is a lot different than pigging out used to be for me before surgery.
Heck I had sugar free cookie dough, some grapes... and well.. that to me is pigging out. I remember before surgery sitting down and eating a whole roll of premixed sugar cookie dough. Then eating a whole bag of chips. So I figure I'm doing ok
I'm looking to get back on track with my eating. I've been a bad bad girl.
There goes our honeymoon *cries*

I know what both of you mean. I had a real scare during my recovery with starvation. They (Drs- nutritionists) radically changed my diet and I feel like I was almost cursed to regain a better appitite.
Of course malnutrition and starvation is not a good thing- so I am grateful to be stable- but would like the weight to continue to come off as well.
We can do it- we just have to stay focused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are times where I feel I can eat alot too. I try to keep my meals to three times a day still and that seems to keep me in check. I also started following weigh****chers just to make sure I wasn't eating too much. I just about never eat all the points I should but at least I know I am not overeating. My weight loss averages about a pound or two a week so I must be doing something right.
