Sick of this roller coaster ride!

I am getting really discouraged here lately. My weight fluctuates between the same 3-4 lbs for weeks and I get so stressed out. Like I was 195, then 197, then 196, 198,195,etc..... its driving me crazy. Its does this and then eventually I'll lose a lb or two then the roller coaster ride starts all over again. I eat 1000 calories per day per my nutritionist, I work out 3 - 4 times a week (cardio and weight training), drink tons of water and get in my protein..... why is my weight loss so slow? I keep worrying that I'm all done and I still have another 45 lbs to my surgeons goal. Is it just me? Don't get me wrong I am grateful for the weight I've lost so far, but at 5'2" tall I'm still obese. Scarlette

Scarlette, I am doing the same EXACT thing!!!! It has been going on for about 4-5 weeks now. I have lost a total of about 5 pounds in that time. Driving me crazy but we took measurements the other night and I am shrinking so I am trying to be patient with the scales. Have a Happy night! Terri

Me too!!! I have lost 82 pounds since March 14. Stayed at one weight for way too long but I think I am starting to inch down again. At least I hope so. I have not lost as much as most so far but I feel so good!!! I have so much more energy then I have had in years and years.

Hi Guys! Don't be discouraged. You're doing so well!! Your weight loss will pick up! Ask yourself if there is anything you can do to spark your weight loss again. For example, when I went for my appt with my bariatrican in May, he told me he wanted me to walk at least 10,000 steps everyday . I researched pedometers on Consumer reports and bought the one they suggested--it's $35.00-not cheap-but extremely accurate-and tailored for you. It's an Omron walking style pedometer. Adding that activity, along with my diet, whi*****ludes protein supplements, has lead to a whopping 65lb loss since May 20th (avg 10+lbs a month). Can you increase your activity or your protein? Your weight loss will pick up again -- you just need to rekindle the process. Good Luck!! {{{Hugs}}} Meg

I'm doing the same thing right now. Last month I only lost 5 lbs. Since I hit Onederland and the Century Club at the same time it's like I'm at a stand still and it's driving me crazy!!!!!!!!! I'm right there with you though, I'm very very grateful for the weight that I've lost, but I really do want to get to at least 170 and last time I dared to get on that mean scale all it said was the same old 194, 193, ha ha ha ha...it's teasing me, tormenting me so, will this ever end????? Hi there! I'm getting tired of the ride myself! Last month I only lost a whopping 2 pounds total (-4 at the peak) but I lost two inches or more everywhere, now this month (which ended yesterday, as I go from 11th to 11th...) I also had a total of 2 with a max of 4. Last month I flip flopped btwn 159 and 155, this month btwn 155 and 151, and this time I only lost an inch all over! I've been walking 3-6 miles a day, but I fear that maybe I'm beyond walking's help...Today I'm going to try a liquid day to see if that helps. Once I get to 149 I'll be out of the obese category, am I just holding on to those last few for comfort?? Good luck to us all, I'm sure glad it's not just me!
