Double-Take!!!

I had left the church I was going to pre-op to attend one closer to home. Well, I finally decided to go back to my church and it's amazing the reaction I am getting from men that haven't seen me in months. It's kind of cool. I was walking towards the coffee shop to get a bottle of water and two guys from the singles class were sitting outside eating before service. One looked and me and kept looking at me with a look like, is that Trisha or wait, yeah, I think it is her, wait no, yeah it is....type look and then his friend sitting at the table turned around to see what his friend was looking and almost choked on his food and said, "Hi, Trisha!!! Wow, you look great!!" I said thanks and kept walking. LOL His friend just sat there and had kind of a smile on his face, not saying anything even though his mouth opened. The compliment made me feel beautiful and thin, but then it also made me uncomfortable. I don't know why either. Then I went to church that night and another guy from the single's class did a double take of me as well and I finally smiled and said hi to him and he was like, "h-h-hi..Trisha?" I said yes. He then looked at me all in awe and went "hi". Okay, if men are doing this now, what's it going to be like when I lose 80 more pounds? LOL I'm not used to men looking at me and getting tongue tied. It's flattering but then it's also unnerving. I hope I get used to it and don't have pysch issues about it. It's been a while since I dated too. So I'm trying not to be vulnerable either. Anyway, just thought I'd share. Trisha

Very funny. These men are doing double takes because they know you and admire what you've done. Not everyone can do it! It's hard not to think "are they interested in my sexually? Want to date me, etc?" I'm in the same boat. I want to date now, but it's going to take some real soul searching to figure out how I feel about it all. Heidi -120
